omt*** Tottenham Hotspur Vs Leeds United

Some of the comments about Friedel are beyond pathetic. He is comfortably the best 2nd choice in the league (only one you could really argue about is whichever one of De Gea or Lindegaard you consider 2nd choice) and would still be first choice for many of the teams in the league imo.

Never want to see him play for us again? He's second choice ffs, what kind of keepers do you think most clubs have as 2nd choice?

agreed

Well,

I can say that I hope Parker and Friedel never never play for us again. Both of them have found their level, Parker outfought by Michael Brown. He can take a few notes out of Brown's book and realise that you don't have to run around everywhere to be defensive screen. His constant pushing forwards instead of Hudd or Dembele despite him not having the ability to play as well in more advanced positions demonstrates a lack of understanding of the game.

Don't get the friedal hate he was fine. Parker didn't have a good game today imo. Reminded me of Didier Zokora lots of running but no positional sense and steaaming in to give away silly fouls.

Why the f*ck are you guys getting on Obika's back?? His first game for GHod knows how long for the first team - away and when we losing to Leeds. It's hardly his fault we have no strikers at the club is it. Let's just all blame him.

It's simple really. If any new player comes in and fails to play like a Maradona/Pele/Ronaldo clone from the word go, they are classed as *brick* by many *supporters*. Funny thing is that these *supporters* would then heap praise on the exact same player if he scores in the very next game.

Wow what an overreaction.

Maybe its because I didnt really care about this game, couldnt be bothered, but what the hell... It aint like the end of the world. There is much bigger fish to fry and that is our next PL game.

What also did you guys expect? We have a squad that is imbalanced and lacks quality and vastly overrated. We always needed to strengthen and this game epitomises that.

That is frankly an embarrassing comment to make.

A bit OTT but he has a point. Parker is there to win possession which most of the time - not today - he does well. But he's frankly non-League going forward and the fact he thinks he's any good at it is seriously holding us back.

Not really hate, I like Friedel, bu I don't think the CBs had the confidence in him today, too many aerial balls in the box he stood on his line for. And Parker has always played like that for us.

The difference is this was a cup game, the games next week are in the league. It does matter for the players' motivation.

Not too bothered really. Gives us a better chance of doing well in the league and EL.

I am.

22 years without the FA Cup is too long, although with the teams that are already through I doubt we would have got past the semis again.

Hopefully we have got the bad game out of the way and we bounce back with 2 wins in 4 days

I'm not sure why we even played him. Every keeper should be able to play every match. The reason most 2nd string keepers are brick is that they're only meant to be used in emergencies.

Exactly this about the squad. The backup Cms aren't really providing the competition, the strikers are short and we lack serious technique and creativity.

Watching the replay of their second goal, Verts just strolled back after they bust the offside trap.. strange performance from Verts today.

Come on. He dives about gets a few tackles in, but so easily out fought, out muscled, out paced. He has no steel.

Yep agree 100%, Brown looked the better player when he played for us as at least he had the intelligence to play his game, Parker tries to be Stevie G all action yet fails horribly as he is a limited player. He was so much better at the start of last season when all he did was hold.

Parker needs to win the ball and pass It earlier. He holds the ball far too long and then the space is shut down.
