This is awful.

I think maybe the players have had more training, more ideas have been implemented and the players are having to think a little more. It's not translating well to a competitive environment.

But I think we'll be ok in this game. It will settle down.
 
I thought benny benassi made that "Satisfaction" song with the shexy ladies using power tools? He makes for a pretty powerful left winger too.

I actually agree with Tony Gale FFS... the front 2 need to give us way more, they are not in the game at all

it can, certainly against palace's quality.

its a big ask of dembele though - next to a kid, a floating creater and a hard working lennon known to go missing on occasion for fairly long periods of the game.

hopefully it'll start picking up. soon.

It's like 5 games now where i've seen him beaten by the same damn pass. He gets drawn in..opposition player leaves him for dead.
 
good job they botched that penalty otherwise we'd be looking up against it at the moment.

walker really having a bad day at the office. need to try and get eriksen on the ball more.
 
Why don't we press the ****ing ball when not in possession? Can't believe how lazy they are. They meaning our players.
 
Got to credit Palace. Need to get Eriksen, Ade, and Lennon on the ball as much as possible to full them apart.
 
80% of our attacking plan is to work it out to Lennon, with our wonky left side not giving any outlet.

So time and again we get it to Lennon and then think "Er... now what".

They are really pushing onto us, we need to break fast on them when we get the ball in transition, not let them get set back in defence.
 
I don't care that we've been awful. There is clear intent to try and actually play in the final third, and in the transition area between midfield and final third. The absence of both those things under AVB is still seared in my mind. Simply nothing happening in those areas week after week, month after month. This rubbish is better than that rubbish.
 
Palace just dripping one striker deep to out number is in the middle when not in possession. Then hitting Jerome over Vlad to get in possession.

They are working much harder than us and defending hard. We look very vulnerable at set pieces.

Worrying start.
 
It's like the team are trying too hard to play this quick tempo, without the required patience to actually set up in their half first. Palace are getting players back quickly and are completely outnumbering us.

More patience is needed.
