OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Wolves ** 29 December 2024.

A lot of running and pressing from Solanke, BUT it is hard to find him in the pen area. I guess we were spoiled by Kane for so many years and he was great finding space for himself in front of goal.

I think if we played to his strengths he's still got something to contribute. If we're not then he's pointless.

Guess the other factor in that equation is how long the manager is gonna last. If Ange goes the new guy may play him off Solanke, all of a sudden he looks useful.
What’s the strengths? He can’t even run now
It’s horrible to see live because you see a legend disintegrate

Nobody has ever come in for Son because he doesn’t do anything other than score goals.

Nope, he’s always in the top 10-20 for assists and chances created too. Not many forwards in world football get 20+ goals per season. If he had downed tools like Kane did under Nuno then I think clubs would have started sniffing around Son.

Johnson is fighting
It’s right in front of me
Getting kicked
Running
All the basics
Sonny is like a kid changing everything but offering nothing
Scarily different

Think we’re setting the bar too low if we’re content with a forward just working hard. I’d also like a forward who can beat a man, take people on, create etc. none of which Johnson ever does.

Off the last man I'd still back him to bend it in the corner. You want him on the ball as little as possible. Everything played in front of him to run onto.
I wouldn’t anymore
He is hitting everything so weakly
It’s like he can’t play anymore
He was the best finisher I’ve seen. I wouldn’t back him to finish a toss now
