*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine FC ***

And? How many times have we played out from the back this season and how many times have we conceded from it? It's quite clearly a risk/reward thing and it's something the majority of PL teams do, so unless you know something all these qualified coaches don't? Theres plenty of goals that have been scored/good chances created from playing it out and being brave, you only ever highlight the ones that are conceded. And just punting it long constantly conceding possession and inviting pressure is just counter productive.....
We are known as the team who gives up chances due to playing it out of the back. If you are going to do that you need options, we constantly have the 2 cb’s and the keeper playing amongst themselves as everyone else pushes up hoping for a world class pass. We have been found out and its so obvious. 80% of chances we give away is playing out from the back. The tactics are all wrong.

The midfield 3 hasn’t got a scooby doo what its doing, the pressing is amateur and we leave big gaps everywhere. The fullbacks pushing up inside doesn’t work and when we inevitably give the ball away its 3 vs 2. Tactics are fudging woeful.
This is the thing for me. We always look like we struggle with basic tactical shape and making things hard for the opposition. The player's are trying out there and then their hard work is undone by a couple of amateur hour moments that boil down to basics on a training pitch. And this happens time and again and has been happening for over a year.

I don't want Ange out but his inability to get best out of players like Maddison and Son is something he needs to look at. Also I rate Bentancur very highly and I expect to see him în every match from now on. Werner's only use, imo, is în the last 15min when there are tired leggs and his only attribute, his speed, can make a difference. Udogie and Bissouma have a lazy attitude and that can be addressed by the coaching team. As for Ange's merits, Kulusevski and sometimes Johnson have uped their game a lot this year.

This game is a fudging joke. Ref and VAR are actually fudging with us. Clear handball for their first, Joelinton getting away with a sneaky elbow, Burn getting away with second yellow for a clear handball, Newcash corner tactics left to the rugby gods...

...Werner has been a fudging weak passenger, have to say Johnson is not much better (there again we have no idea who is actually sick out there and who isn't)...

that first goal, Gray plays it to Sarr, with 4 Saudi Sportswashing Machine players on him, WTF was he thinking?

All down to Masons “the lines never move” training sessions. The majority of the sessions we see are moves against mannequins, its no surprise the players are shocked on a match day when the opposition actually move.

because the laws of the game consider that accidental contact

It is an offence if a player:

  • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball
  • touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised
