I have no issue criticising the defending but let's be accurate about the mistake. The problem was our line, not him not apparently not knowing Salah was there.

One issue I've had with us all season is the amount of times our defenders end up running backwards and defending facing our own goal. It really doesn't make it is easy for ourselves.

And the opposite in attack , we don't play enough balls ahead of forwards to run into.

Kulusevski is too slow or lazy to go top speed. Missed out on an excellent cross from johnson and just doesn't attempt to break the lines with opportunistic runs

Either he doesn’t want to move forwards, or is under instruction to check back and play the ball back so we can faff about with playing the ball around so Pool can set their defense and we can totally fail to penetrate.

It's not. Top players are constantly scanning, head never stops moving to see where the players are around them.
And a player standing behind you is in nobody's peripheral view.
