*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City ***

I dunno, he doesn't seem to be favourable towards anything showing the limitations of Ange approach to tactics or management - none of that can be Levy's fault.
I’ve been clear from when he was appointed that I didn’t feel Ange was the right man for Spurs. I just feel that until the club bring in a decent CEO nothing will change (Ewell not for the better anyway)

The only silver lining to this dark cloud is that it perhaps reduces the net worth of our deadweight owners and hastens the departure of the highest paid director in the premier league,

Absoloutely the club higher ups fault for appointing a man with such a lack of experience at anywhere near the top level. That does not mean the manager is beyond criticism or primarily responsible for dragging us towards a relegation battle. The two things can be true at the same time.
Yep, but unlike others on here I have no faith in the leadership to get anyone better. I also think it’s criminal that the board haven’t got further players in this January to help our horribly injured and fatigued squad. We have 3 spaces for players so don’t even need to sell/loan players to bring more in (ignoring the oh so important 45% wage to turnover ratio of course)

What does decent investment look like to you compared to what we've spent over the last few years, and leveraged against the risk of another NDombele?
Paying the money to have a the best data department, great scouts, a brilliant director of football, top coaches at all levels. All of the things that we continually scrimp on.

It’s why I said to my mates … and which joins and who does he play
Same fudging team
Same players
Same walking… crawling.. wounded
The football readership made a HUGE call with this squad abs Ange is gambling every game right now to keep his job
It’s a shambles

Thing is, if they sack him now, a few very important players will come back into the side and give the next poor sap a 'bounce', everyone will say 'told you so told you so' until this time next season when the same problems will be present because the structure and operations around the playing staff does not change.

It remains incredible to me that we did not make moves to get layers ready for early Jan back in mid-November/Dec...before Arse got injuries. Everyone bleats on about the manager supposedly not altering his ways, despite us being on track with a youth project and long-term rebuoild, was there not the realisation that we needed to spend a bit on a short-term 6 month loan or two?

Who are we going to bring in? We don't have space in the Europa squad. So you're asking a player that isnt a kid that can go on the B list to come here and play in a sh**-show of a league campaign in a horrible atmosphere and miss out on European football. Plus most clubs with players of the requisite quality that may be willing to consider parting with them probably won't do so until next week when they find out if they've qualified for the later stages of Europe. There must be options out there but I think they'd be the kind thar would involve throwing a chunk of our strategic transfer budget and wages at players that will become squad deadwood by the time other players return.....so I can see why the club may be hesitant despite the situation although this defeat may force them to act.

Maintained decent investment and a decent structure in the their scouting, recruitment and youth departments.
You don't think our youth department is good?

Arnesen
Comolli
Mitchell
Paratici
have all been very good.
You don't find the likes of Kinsky, Bergvall, Porro, Sarr, Yang etc without recruitment.

Our successes have come with getting the youngsters and developing them (The Dawson's, Bales, Lennon's etc) and the players under the top level radar (Berbatov, Son, Modric etc). That sec group is a lot harder now because football at the top level is better organised and information is more widely available.

There is certainly room for improvement, and I'm not convinced by the current personnel, but I really don't see how a new board suddenly changed that. It sounds like emporers new clothes

Might settle for a more sensible offer from potential buyer instead of waiting for £3-4bn.

Yeah our youth recruitment has generally been pretty exceptional. We are also pretty good at bringing in rough diamonds that larger clubs have doubts over. And playing the free transfer market. We've really struggled when sounding big on game changing signings for the first team. Always tend to pick the wrong-uns from Soldado and Paulinho to Sanchez, N'Dombele and Lo Celso.

There is a bounce coming IMO because the pakyers who will still remain and are needed are broken
We need to get in some players
2 at least next week
I don’t think us not having anyone in has anything to do with others clubs other than potential selling ones

Yeah I did
I was there
Haven’t seen it back but to me looked like another Porro classic
Arguably our most tired player
For me today like many games recently were not playing Ange ball… not even attempting it
And all the players are fudged
They would still be shattered for a new manager and there is likely to be less of them as they all get injured
A different manager might not have all 3 CMs in the opposition half miles away from the ball when his defenders are playing it in their own half. That's the problem that happened, players will get tired but when you have them pushing all the way up and away from the ball we are just giving the opposition counter opportunities. That's not player related, it's the system and the instructions the players have been given.

Yet we still, and have consistently, identified lots of really good youngsters and good "almost top level" players. So I'm not sure your characterisation is accurate.

I don’t think that’s a given steff. I hope so but I think this squad is very very fragile and looking at the fixtures ahead we’re in trouble.

He had a CM almost next to Porro and he hit a short pass
It was to bentacur wasn’t it?

fudge the Europa squad…. Or just leave out injured and/or poor players from it if you really care. That is just an excuse that he fans of this club continually make for the horribly average chairman earning the highest director pay packet in the whole PL.

I agree.
I think we'll avoid relegation but accept the league season will be our ugliest since 93/94 (the 'Oldham away' year for those who remember)...or maybe our 97 Wimbledon away year (perhaps bringing Klinesmann back for Solanke is the play LOL)...

Our youth and recruitment structure was absolutely woeful for several years until recently. No excuse for that at all.

2 of the 4 people you list left the club when we could’ve kept them by offering them their worth. For some reason our chairman thinks he is the only person at THFC who deserves a top salary. Must be all of the trophies we’ve won or something?!?

That's with the assumption that another coach plays the same suicidal football. I don't think there's another coach out there that will play this way, especially not having seen how it's poorly it has returned results over the longer term.

We are so bad that at this point I think almost any coach could do a better job because anyone taking this job now knows their number 1 priority is to stop conceding stupid fudging goals. Yes our return will drop but fudge me scoring a brick ton of goals isn't helping us get points when we put so much at risk to score them.

Months ago I said all Ange needed was to address the balance. There's a slightly more restrained version of his football that works but he's incapable of applying it. A new coach won't be.
