Didn’t think we looked that different to our other recent games; never felt we really threatened. We came up against City on a night when they had a lot to lose and that inhibited their play. They got over the line though - thanks to two goals from their out and out striker.
It’s becoming his default mode.Ange super unhappy in his post match presser.
Vicario probably made the more difficult saves in the game. Thought he was very good tonight.Really… you not see the saves their keeper made ?
It’s weird for me. When we play well the opposition are inhibited… imo city couldn’t create anything because they didn’t commit enough people into attack and Haaland was being dealt with. I haven’t seen their first goal but it looked or me like one player switching off
Our chances came from some taking good play.
Must have missed that. Of course we would need to buy two unless Veliz is considered ready to be second choice. If the offer is good enough that it allows us to go after a top striker then it’s worth it, otherwise keep him.If we sold Richy we would probably need to buy 2 strikers, remember we lost Kane just before the season started and did not replace him

we have had one all season isnt it?Purely a matter of interest, how do those numbers stack up without pens?
We never get any, and Richie doesn't take them, but haaland does, how much does it skew the numbers
?

Kind of evens out by playing Peh though.
he is not suited to the quick passing needed to play under the press - but in space he hits some good balls and made some good runs. he is just not an angeball player in reality. He had a couple of moments, but he always does plenty of good too.

What a strange night. I think most people instinctively wanted us to win but there was also a reluctance to push the team too hard for the win. And I say that as one of those who felt differently watching that game than any other. However, I only saw one fella cheering City. He’s a lad that sits two down from me and he was one who walked out when Woolwich scored their third a few weeks back.
Fair play to Ange. Thought he showed another side of himself tonight that bodes well. We played pretty well out there and really could have gotten a draw or more.
Thought the “stand up if you hate Arsenal” and “are you watching Arsenal” chants were a bit small time but so be it. Hope Ange understands why the atmosphere was as it was. It’s a very very strange and bricky situation but I think anyone who loves football has to understand it even if they don’t agree with it.
It was a creditable performance I think in what must have felt like a really surreal atmosphere for the players. They were not at all helped by our fans tonight, including me. I found myself instinctively gasping when Son was through on goal (thinking that this would likely seal the result as a draw). It was unfortunate that circumstances shaped up the way they did, and hopefully not a situation we ever find ourselves in again.
I think people wanted to get behind the team. Where I was, people were clearly supporting the team especially when we got into good situations but there was no enthusiasm to will us into good situations if that makes sense. There wasn’t lots of people supporting City. Around me, there was just the one.I sold my ticket for the same reason and didn’t even watch the game as I had so much angst about the situation. What was the atmosphere like at the ground during the game and at the end?
I don't think there's such a thing as "untouchable" in Ange's book. If he needs to go, he'll goI agree
But son is untouchable for many reasons
If we use him as a squad player we may see more overall output from him (regardless of his numbers)
I do think we will what about an injury over the summer too
Lolo should have flattened Foden. Romero was too far away. Problem is that Lolo already had gotten a silly yellow earlier so he could only watch. It was four players switching off, Romero should have flattened Foden, Bentancur should then have made an easy tackle to knock it out of play.
The defenders in the box should then have managed Haaland better.
What a weird and unpleasant experience that was. Still conflicted.
