I agree. I've suggested Maddison before on here, but the general consensus seemed to be that he was unsuitable for a variety of reasons. He was cheap at the time too.

He was injured or coming back from injury and out of form at the time - I don't remember exactly when, I think towards end of 2021 season. Of course 'cheap' is a relative term and there's no guarantee he would have wanted to come to us anyway.
