I’m fine with EL. ECL is a waste of everyone’s time, and a mockery as a European competition.

Manager and most of the back room team still travel. Time lost on the training pitch (Wednesday flying out; Thursday play; Friday a bit of a mess if team arrives back in the early hours).

Waste of time.

Possibly and I get the arguments. I think its a fine line...and the fact that its closely debated on here shows its a fine call

It would be good to get the no trophy for 1000 years off our back though and keep the coefficient points ticking up
 
Not a great game, but my son got a win in his first match, and he's happy, and then I'm happy. :) Højbjerg was good today, but pairing him with Skipp is a bit too much of the same for me. None of them are able to carry the ball with any confidence up the field, or so it seems. I have no idea why we kept Richarlison on for so long either, he just looked on as Son and Kane worked their socks off, it seemed. Ben Davies was good, and Porro had his moments in the second half.

But oh well, three points, and the killing of the injury time was as good as any I've seen.
 
Got back from the game, my perspective

- Formation was fluid, you probably couldn't see it on tv, at times but we played 4-4-2 for a bit, 4-3-3, 5-2-3, quite fluid based on possession, where in pitch
- Royal, plus Romero playing properly (given responsibility?) plus no Dier and our defense looked way better
- We looked way more comfortable with possession
- Skipp struggled in 1st half a bit, Davies had one of those games where his attacking output, passing choices were just bad.

Cons
- Transition/attack from back is still too slow, lack of a real passer in midfield shows

Job done, clean sheet, everyone contributed, 3 points, lets hope Lenglet's shoulder is fine.

Once Porro whacked it out for a throw in when he could have possibly tried a pass to the attack
