*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace FC ***

Phew. Truly magnificent individual performances from Bale, Kane, Reggie (who I thought outstanding) and Hoj. Up and down performances from Winks, Lucas, Sonny, Dav and Toby. Lloris had nothing to do. Really, the only bad performer on the day was Doherty, but that's basically expected now.

I hope Mourinho plays Tanganga going forward when Aurier's not fit. As I said at half time, whether it's the crap first year or the COVID, Doherty is done. Leave him out and let him go at it again fresh next year - as it stands, he's costing us.

Think we've given ourselves too much to do in terms of top four, but it's still faintly there. Everything - everything - depends on the Arse game next week. Win that, at their ground, and we'll be coursing with confidence with the only tough games left being Villa away, United at home and Leicester away. Draw or lose that...probably done for us.

@milo - Reggie for me.
Care to elaborate what Doherty did wrong?

Spurs are the second team in Europe's top five leagues to score 100 goals in all competitions this season. Bayern Munich lead the way on 106.

This is the team I believed we could be at the start of the season. Shame it’s come so late. Hopefully we can win the Europa League. This side is good enough to be in the Champions League with Bale in it.
Guess it’s a balance of fitness of the players over the season in what is the oddest season yet

Lost most of his challenges, many of the 50-50s, messed up most of his take-ons, and didn't have a single cross of note despite having acres of space on the right. Oh, and lost that Palace player for the cross for their equalizing goal.

The comparison between how laboured and crap he is on the right with how magnificent Reggie is steaming relentlessly up and down on the left is painful. And Reggie's the kid who's new to this league - Doherty has been around for years and has still had a plain bad season.

It's either the bad first year or the COVID he had. Either way, he's crap and I'd prefer Tanganga to start when Aurier's out. Let Doherty try again next season when his head's hopefully in the game.

Was just musing to myself on how cheesed off I am that I can’t get to a game to see that front three together.

I thought Lucas was very good in the first half. Didn't see the 2nd half unfortunately.

In a way Jose could be right.conceding just before HT helped us. At 1-0 we might have sat back for the 2nd half like Thursday and numerous other occasions.

But after going in 1-1, we just blew them away 2nd half, and it was great to see we kept going and going

that's not really what we want to hear though is it? we should be dictating our mindset not the scoreline

Exactly what I was thinking at HT. Now we have to come out and attack again.

“I told them at half-time I was very happy with the goal we conceded. They think I was crazy.

“It was proof to the players if you lose control and start dropping, they have one, two three crosses and it’s difficult to keep a clean sheet.

“That 1-1 put us in a position where we had to go forward. Because of the feeling of the first half, it was about 2-1, 3-1, and not 2-1 and drop back.

“I think I passed the feeling to the players. They were relaxed and optimistic.”

Yet got an assist
And kept zaha quiet and was regularly dealing with being doubled up on
I’ll check the defensive stats in a bit ti see if your right
But I think it’s some bias kicking in for now
