*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea Rent Boys F.A Cup SF ***

We absolutely failed to make our dominance count. That and our nervy start are what cost us this game. We need to have a couple of options from the bench, we didn't have many options to sustain the pressure at 70 minutes.
It was always going to be difficult when they had Hazard and Costa in their armoury to bring on. The only way we would have won was not to have conceded two careless goals and to have had a lead to protect before their heavy weights came on. But tbh when you compare their squad and ours you knew we would be underdogs today.

so Conte won the tactical battle, I think Poch was overthinking today, he went a bit AVB in his "total football" plan, they bring on Hazard, we bring on Nko who?, he's a poor man's jose dominguez which really isn't saying a lot, I don't think we were unlucky today, like all good teams, they're just clinical when it matters and know how to close games. That pass from Eriksen and then the finish from Alli was sublime, arguably the move and finish of the season.

And I can't believe people are saying thats the season over, chelsea have just lost 2 out of 3 in the league, f@ck run in computations, I'm confident Poch will pick the players up for wednesday's match and chelsea will have an emotional let down in theirs, Believe......

Good interview by Poch. Can see his pain, but check the fire in his eyes when he mentions the 4 point gap.

He also said they were more clinical. They were exactly - in both boxes. Our defending lacked clinical precision. But it is that much harder defending against a break.

Absolute disaster playing Son as a wingback.

We gave them two goals. Eriksen needs to learn how to take free kicks and corners like them. Goal 1 - direct free kick. Goal two - penalty. Goal three - from a corner. We really need to improve our dead ball taking. Today it was the difference between the teams . No whinging please. We lost to a side who know how to play the percentages.
I told you Son can't play wing back. Shame Poch wasn't listening.

Haven't you heard, set pieces are pointless, they only go in occasionally, no point focussing on them like Tony Pulis would.

If fancy City to beat them as City won't oussy foot around

Maybe, but it's out of our hands. I'm not bothered about the league. Rack up the points, improve on your tally year on year, and at some stage the league title will come. But the step that has to be taken towards that aim is to get as many points as possible in a season where the club record is open to being smashed.

I'm gutted, just gutted.

I don't know how they scored 4 goals really; 5 shots on target, a penalty, a free-kick, a hit from a player who wont even score the like again on the traniing pitch, and one through a crowd of players after their only corner of the game. Unbelievable, could only happen to us where a team creates nothing and scores four.

Poch took a gamble with Son, I understand the logic (drive Moses back, rather than let him attack Davies) but it didn't work. I won't blame Son much for the penalty, it was stupid defending but he is not a defender nor a defensive player.

I think the only player I'm disappointed with is Lloris -- he has let us down several times against big teams in the past and today was another one. He's our captain and needs to set the tone, but in these games he has previous for being our worst performer and was again today.

Overall, I don't feel that we deserved to lose that game and 4-2 was not a fair reflection of the play.

Who are these tossers? How many in the ground today were around when Cheat$ki were in the old second division and they were getting 8000 or so at Stamford Bridge? Hardly anyone supported these cnuts before all the mafia money rolled in. They're a joke club.
Yep mate, hate them more than any other club.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino: "I feel proud. We were fantastic in the way we played and in our philosophy. They had five shots and scored four goals and we score only two. The penalty for me was a soft penalty or was not a penalty.

"Only now we can look forward. We are four points behind them and we will try to win our next game. I am not worried. The team is strong; we are focused. We were competing today with one of the best teams in Europe. Did we deserve more? Sure, but that is football.

"Now we will try to be calm, watch the game again and try to improve. We are in a process of trying to improve. If we cannot win the FA Cup this season we will try again next season."

Let's hope we come up against Pompey, Hull, Wigan or Villa next time

While I'm at it what does Alan Shearer bring to punditry? Monotone and states the bleeding obvious. He should stop pontificating about other clubs, get off his back side and manage a side - oh wait a minute he failed in his attempt to be a manager and his precious club are making a meal of getting out of a Division where their income dwarfs any of their rivals. There, another thing off my chest - that feels better.

We aim to win one game at a time, see if they get nervous.

I will give up until mathematically impossible. Not accept taking it easy, record points or not.

Oh, no problem - by all means, do so. But I'm not preoccupied with that as much as I am with finishing as high as we possibly can now.

More than anything else I want to see that the lessons of last season have been learned. Then, finish as high as possible. The league title - if it comes as a result of a consistent run, great. If not, not losing a single bit of sleep over it.

I think the same approach would be helpful to us if we are ever (in our lifetimes) faced with a scenario where we're clear at the top with a few games left. Take it as it comes. Rack up the points. See what happens.

To win something was my aim. Given how I see the league, I really wanted us to go far in the LC, Europa League or the FA Cup. We ultimately crashed out of all three. Now, it's just racking up points, and if the frankly unlikely happens, it happens.

The frustration is the Kane goal, and the Eriksen-Alli goal should have seen us win that. Both sublime goals. The Alli one especially. If we hadn't given away the first 2 to them which were gifts...

The Hazard strike - yes we'd normally have someone covering him, and the subs might have confused roles - but it was pretty good as was Matic's, the wonder goal of his career!

We don't lose often. It gets harder and harder to take!

One thing I fudgeing hate about post-match interviewers in England is how relentlessly banal they are. Did no one ask him about putting Son at left-back? I really want to hear the logic behind that decision.
