***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Aston Villa***

Poch using the new system. I think this should be interesting.

Personally I dont like it for this game as the back three and two CMs aren't players who will threaten the box, whilst Trippier and Davies will stay wide. That leaves Son, Sissoko and Janssen as the only people they need to worry about in the central areas of the final third

Villa team looks strong, I've seen most of those lads in the Prem and they will be WELL up for it. Especially Hutton, he will scythe through someone today.

Agbonlahor, Jedinak and Hutton are well past it, Bacuna and Grealish a bit brick and the rest are kids or complete unknowns.

Aye, think our team selection makes this a tighter game (1st 45 at least) than necessary. Steve Bruce is a mug but not the biggest mug in english football. Squeeze through this by a single goal me thinks.

I will never understand treating this tournament with contempt like Bournemouth did yesterday. I agree to some extent with @the dza that we should tailor the team to the opposition so against sides like Villa by all means play more squad players but against better team I want to see more of the first team and a real attempt to win it. My first memory of spurs was winning the 81 cup so this tournament will always mean
a lot. I would love a day out at Wembley.
Absolutely nothing in that lineup to indicate us treating the tournament with contempt.

We'll see. They may turn on the taps and give it the beans and snort the marching powder of ferocious power for 73 minutes.

I'm watching Pool struggle v Plymouth. Had to bring on Lallana and Sturridge... not a walk in the park and I've never heard of these Plymturds

where the hell did 6 mins of injury time come from?!?!

The four horsemen of the aKloppalypse should be on the grinning giant's shoulders, but I'm sure he will shrug it off with the grin of goat's teeth and a quick Stephen Merchant impression

So.... three at the back, as I predicted.
