***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Aston Villa***

This is fudging rubbish by Villa. Playing for a draw or to nick one. Scandelous. Its a cup game against an only half decent Spurs side. They should be thinking they can win it and be going for it

Right now we are there for the taking. At present, for us, it smacks of ' If we scrape a win fine, if we lose, concentrate on the league' Just seems a damp performance

Both Trippier and Davies are staying very wide. Problem is we don't get a second wave coming when we play 3-5-2,leaving it easy for Villa to defend. Would prefer 3-4-3. Then the front wide men can create width, and the wing backs can follow up and overlap. Much more difficult to defend.

We are playing 3421 aren't we?

Janssen takes up some unusual positions for a main striker. A minute ago he was ahead of the cross into the box. Just now, after passing to Davies, instead of heading into the box for a ball across the goal he dropped off for a pull back. And then on the corner he just stood in the area rather than attacking the area.

His movement suggests he thinks like a #10, the player in behind the main striker, but without necessarily having the skills required of a #10 at this level.

Janssen being the same as alawsy - holds the ball up well but not the right CF for us. We need someone who can play facing the opposition goal - he prefers back to goal.
