I do recall him being nominated corner taker for all of the first twenty minutes of a game during the Jol era. He got unceremoniously booted off by Keane after about his third failed attempt to get it into the box.

It is good, Townsend has upped his game and we have competition for places. It hasn't been a great game tonight but there are a lot of players out there who need to make an impression on the manager.
