** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v AC Milan **

How many years before we're back in the CL?

Could be 6 months if we pull the trigger before the weekend and get some feelgood factor back around the club. Some of those players walking, no, trudging, off at HT looked like they could not be bothered being there

That's enough of that for me. Conte-ball is the most atrocious brand of football I have seen in 33 years. We still lose when we shouldn't, we just play uglier football. Conte doesn't want to be there, and I don't want to watch his team. Here it comes #conteout

Callum

Well said that man
Conte ball is the same as Mourinho ball and Nuno ball…. Wonder which boring, back foot, defensive manager we’ll go for next?

Might as well chuck top 4 as well as all the cups, I suppose.
Levy I am sure is thinking now about CL next season and how best to achieve it. We are still in the mix for that I guess, but whether Conte or a new man is the best choice to meet that target who knows?

Continue playing football like we have the last 3 games and Forest will turn us over too. Johnson will have a field day against our defence

If Romero doesn't make the tackle they've got two on one and they're both overloading Romero's side. He's never catching their player who also could have just played a short through ball and left them through on goal

Just watched again, you’re wrong. He has to retreat and not get drawn to the ball. It’s so fudging stupid. He has to try and protect the goal as his number one priority, not go chasing the ball. It’s so fudging stupid. So stupid.

Nah, he's gone.
Fans asking for the managers head, when it’s his first game back after going under the knife.

It's his third.

We've lost all three.

And it is partly his fault, tbh. If he had signed a long-term deal a while ago, fans would probably have grumbled but accepted it as part of an up-and-down time of growth.

He hasn't committed to us. So fans increasingly don't want him here acting like he's doing us a favour, when the 'favour' is losing every game.

So, he makes a rod for his own back, really.

I still think he can turn it around if he signs a contract tomorrow, but otherwise he is done - sacking is a formality, and probably should be done sooner so Poch can have an extended pre-season figuring out what needs doing.

They know Conte is gone at the end of the season, we’re sleepwalking now to a season of fcuk all…. Terrible management from the top as usual.

A bit late to the show, but I'd just like to state the following:

- Good intensity and effort today, but we were mostly impotent up front.
- Romero...stupid.
- How did Son play the whole game? So poor.
- AC Milan were very...italian. Defensively cynical. Brilliant time wasters.
- Ref fell for their brickhousery, and why he only added six minutes (and blew at 5.58) after 7 subs, nunerous lengthy injuries/"injuries" and top class time wasting galore, I will never understand.
- With Bentancour injured and Kulu/Son off form, Kane is our only creative player.
- Conte looks increasingly like a dead man walking.

It will be a decisive few months for the club now, with the Conte situation in limbo, Kane's future being very uncertain, and a top four finish the only thing that can save this season from being a pretty massive failure overall.

This isn't good enough. The players showed some energy, but there is no plan and especially the passing is atrocious. Both the execution and the decision making. Too many passes to man marked players with their backs to goal. Too many sideways passes and too little movement and runs. The few runs that are made are not picked up on. Ping a cross, close your eyes and hope for something. Everything turns into nothing. Trying the same over and over and over again. Professionals looking like they've just started playing football. I've seen this movie before. It didn't end well, but it started a new era to be fair.

Players whining about wanting to play in the CL, but failing to turn up when they do. But the worst, and that's on Conte, is not changing things up when they're not working (incidentally also Pochettino's biggest flaw). You can have 50 players on the bench and sub half the team. I welcomed Conte for supposedly being a cynical arse kicker of weak minds, but that's well and truly gone. So has his wish to stay with us, it seems. We need a total overhaul of our core team. This isn't about ability, it's about mentality. We have lacked that for, pretty much as long as I can remember. Bad mentality breeds bad mentality. I suspect that the most experienced and vocal in the team are the biggest culprits. I have no problem languishing mid-table for a couple of seasons if a plan is put forward, and properly backed. At present it's a patch up job and a spiral into nothingness.

Or we can continue as we do, changing managers every 18 months, buying rejects from so called bigger clubs and gunning for top 4 into eternity.

Before the momentum swells for The Return of The Poch, did anyone read The Guardian's opinion piece - the award winning J. Liew - on why Spurs should avoid rekindling an affair with an old flame?

I'd have him back. Nowt to lose at this point. And, yeah, I'd still bang some of my old girlfriends.

The article was trying to dissuade us from doing the obvious.
There's no point in bringing poch (or any other manager) in if we don't do what they want and rebuild how they want.
Conte is taking the flak and he deserves it, but letz not forget that performancez like this have bow happened under four managers, two of them very good managers.
Its time to be brave.

Its a good point and the main one which needs making. Who is best placed to finish off the season? Conte? A full-time Poch? A caretaker (Poch etc)? Tuchel?

I really dont see Conte is the answer, and we're dropping (in terms of performances) like a stone. We need a lift
