Everyone tearing into Sanchez c'mon. Every CB has scored an own goal before. It happens, it wasn't his fault. Moura was faaaar more culparavle for that goal as he didn't bother to track the FB and just let him run into the freedom of the box forcing Sanchez to have to try and do something that obviously went very badly. Best beleive Jose is looking at Moura in that situation more than Sanchez.
This result is not Sanchez' fault at all. It was the TEAM who threw this away, and they did so for 60 minutes.

This.
100%.
Criminal.

Winks was fouled right as the ball broke to Lanzini, he was literally shoved to the floor as he came across to block the shot. Silly again from Serge, undoing good work with unnecessary tightness in that spot; just stand him up and make him play, don't give him the chance to crumple. Bale made that incredible move and fluffed his lines sadly, hard work done and simple bit rusty. Kane hits the post. Sissoko pathetic "defending" for their first. So many weird things there, but we needed the fourth. And Lamela off the bench (I know he was injured).
A lesson learned.
We definitely went to sleep for about 25 minutes.
I hope Mourinho will now see that Winks and Sissoko should not be on the pitch together any more.

@milo Kane MOTM, a brilliant display which deserved a hat-trick and easy win.

We've been talked up a bit too much this last week. Maybe it got to their heads somewhat. So maybe it's just a wake up call. I reckon Mourinho will use it for that. And to see that Winks and Lucas shouldn't be anywhere near the team unless we're leading by at least 4 goals.

The subs changed the game?

At 3-0 you'd make some changes too. Have to be philosophical and accept it as a freak. And the players never let it happen again. Lots of small things: Mourinho subs, not killing them off, slack defending.

If they never let it happen again, great, but you just know they will let it happen again, and again, and again.
Hell, this is no different from Mourinho's first game, where we went 3-0 up against Spam and then *almost* threw it away in the last few minutes, winning 3-2. This time they finished the job.

Or the Saudi Sportswashing Machine game, where we wasted countless chances, sat back and then one ball into the box led to an equalizing penalty. They didn't learn from that one ,either - to keep your foot on the gas, kill it off.

These brainless guys just never learn. It will happen again this season, I guarantee it - and the worst part is, it's a systemic issue because, unlike other teams, we now can never take our foot off the gas, because teams know our defense has an atrocious error in them and will push for goals if we're 3-0 up or 6-0 up. We will have to waste energy going for it for 90 minutes, because the defenders are simply failures in comparison to the attacking lot.

We're not smart enough to sit back, not solid enough, not mean enough. Aurier brainlessly giving away a free kick instead of clearing it, Winks trying to dribble in the last second and miscontrolling it into the path of their player - these things are symptomatic of a lack of brain cells among them, and I guarantee you they will not learn from this.

It’s not all his fault but he’s not good enough and hasn’t been since 2018 and he needs to not play for us again. Think we can all agree we need much better than him right?

Pretty good summation from someone who can affect things:

"Giving credit to West Ham and try not to analyse our responsibilities on this result. It is easy for me to praise West Ham. They were losing 3-0 for the majority of the game. The game was controlled, they didn't have chances and then late in the game, they score and increased their belief. They were lucky but maybe they deserved that luck. We were unlucky but maybe we deserved that.

"Harry Kane hit the post. It could be 4-0. Bale can score the fourth and kill it. Out of context, based on free-kicks and and second balls, they found a style.

"We should be stronger. In the second half they risked quite a lot, pressing up and gave us more space. We should get an occasion to win the game.

"I don't know if it was us inviting them or with them with the extra motivation of getting in the game. I cant identify us or them, maybe both."

A lesson for players? "For the team, yes. For individuals, no."

In fairness there is not a decent defense in the Prem thus far this season.

This hurt.

I genuinely thought Bale was passing that into the corner and could not believe it went wide. Had their comeback happened 10 mins earlier we win that game back IMO.

You just knew that Aurier free kick would end in a goal.

Of course the gods let us think we got away with it for a second until that guy scored the best goal of his career out of nothing.

Proper annoyed. Two points thrown away against these annoying little buggers.

Maybe it got to their heads somewhat.

Happens so often. So many defeats (or in this case a draw) there's a good portion of the match where we thought we had won and dingdonged about. All we can hope is that one day we finally get the message we haven't won until the game ends.

I blame the posters on here who always have to type what we're all thinking anyway. Seem to crave pleasure when they're proved right when Spurs cave in. :D

Long time since I felt this p.issed off. That is a result that is going to plant all sorts of doubts in the players’ heads.
