I agree. Mourinho must be kicking himself at how we totally lost the midfield.

Did Winks even touch the ball? I'm sorry Winksy, but he just shouldn't be anywhere near the pitch for us. Gives us absolutely nothing. I'm not blaming this solely on him, obviously, but he did nothing to help things out there today.

Sanchez is not good enough

He was played on the wrong side tonight and it showed. I'm presuming that Mourinho didn't want to lose Alderweireld's crossfield, raking passes but we saw the downside in that decision with the OG.

Without trying to sound roostery Jose has us very much being a box defending team. Meaning when the opposition attack we hunker down into our box and close passing lanes and wait for crosses. It does mean at times the opposition will have massed ranks in and around our box, but it seems very much by design with jose backing us to stop them ever getting a clear goal scoring chance and that has pretty much been the case so far.

It could work if we had a defender with a brain in the team, but sadly we have Sanchez, who is a bombscare if we're 1-0 up or 20-0 up.

Another freak ending. Saudi Sportswashing Machine and then this. Bale almost scores. Limp FK which was hardly a challenge and a wonder shot.

Aurier is a bit of a liability still, he rushes into challenges sometimes needlessly. And yes Sanchez is not always the most assured. BUT that was a freak series of events at the end. We were rampant first half, yet there is more work to do.

At the very least I hope this is the last we ever see of Sanchez. Teams target him for a reason. He literally has one strength which is pace. Everything else he is brick at. Decision making, passing, organisation you name it. His passing is league 1 standard.

The optimism on here was fantastic after the window we had and with good reason. But then there’s always that nagging feeling in the back of your head to not get your hopes up because we always find a way to bottle it and it’s taken one game after the international break to manifest itself again.

Anyways. This was always coming. We smash a lacklustre Man Yoo away and everyone's been talking about us winning the league. Get a fudging grip.

We need at least one top top CB in there to be anywhere near where we want to be. Sanchez in the last ten mins - Jesus wept, fudging joke. What's he doing?

You have to be honest it was coming from HT, they missed two really good chances straight after the break. Maybe had one of those gone in it might have been better and woke us up a bit more, I dont know
I have to admit I was blown away by the fantastic start, but to be brutally honest we weren't all that good. And the signs were there, but didn't want to say something afraid to brick on the feel-good parade. We had a great and effective first 15, they had the same last 15. The rest was a typical derby outing with a few brilliant moments. Hurts to say it was the right result.

There were some individual fudge ups to be sure, but we didn't go for the jugular after the 3rd goal. We let them have the ball, and they started slinging it into our box. And when we need some in-game management near the end we were still going for a 4th. Absolutely devasting to momentum, morale, and our confidence letting that 3rd goal in.
