Fair enough but many poster lampooned the idea. I knew it would not happen - which is one of the reasons I am getting a bit apprehensive about Poch -

But in the circumstances it was the best option. Even my dog could have predicted what would happen with 4 centre backs each with a brain fart ready to liberated, a central pivot which specialises in Dead Sea type parting in front of the opposition and two inverted wingers who seem to have an allergy for the touchline...

What bets LVG would have played three at the back in such a circumstance - even if the team had not practiced it before?!

Well as you know I agree about our weak CM and I am not impressed with our wingers ( the best one is out on loan), but a back three is not going to happen and I do not think it should.

Because remember that game against Stoke when we went 3 at the back and did really well with the current squad...? Oh wait. No, that didn't happen...

We were undone by individual errors against Stoke, that could just as easily have happened with a different formation. If that isn't "painfully clear" to you by now I don't know how to explain it to you...
