I disagree with you but that is fine, VAR is causing far more problems then before some idiot decided it would be good for the game.
VAR is fine, it this farcical ‘new’ handball rule, nothing to do with VAR per se!

It wasn't a poor decision, it was correct to the rules. It is the rule that is wrong.
Oh? On Sky he seemed to say it was just rotation due to the fixture congestion
The rule doesn’t say anything about proximity then?It wasn't a poor decision, it was correct to the rules. It is the rule that is wrong.
We're all armchair fans now
Yes. That why I said this season. It was a positive comment that despite not getting 3 points and pointing at maybe being a little profligate from close range and unlucky from distance there were many positives compared to those previous games and probably a few into the end of last season in terms of us actually controlling the game rather than relying on a ball over the top. We’ve played two games. Unless you’re counting europa league minnows.
Its VAR that is killing the game, it was supposed to stop all the arguments that happen after a game, all it has done is create more. The problem the FA have is that is has been such perfection since bringing it in that they have to keep changing the rules to TRY and make it seem like a good idea. They can not admit that its perfection as they would look like the idiots they are.
Hopefully it will just add some determination to put games like this to bed and create a little siege mentality. I’m more concerned about sons hammy than the 2 points tbh, was particularly pleased with PEH today. It’s such a shame to end that way after some lovely football, especially first half.
But do better with at least one of those many many chances and the penalty whilst controversial doesn’t matter.
Unfortunately we now go in deflated and angry rather than upbeat and full of confidence.
IFAB didn’t change this I believe (I could be wrong ) but I thought it was a UEFA thing as they thought different leagues were applying the rules differently so took over and changed some tooIts VAR that is killing the game, it was supposed to stop all the arguments that happen after a game, all it has done is create more. But a big issue here is the infringement isn’t met with a punishment that’s comparable to itThey are trying to do the wrong thing 'righter'. You see this all the time in organisations and management. The right this is simple, the video ref should look for big obvious mistakes, and let the ref know. That was the intention, but without knowing it, the management has evolved VAR to be a bit of a monster with video refs looking for any contact at all with an arm in the box.
The rule doesn’t say anything about proximity then?
Good man Steve Bruce.Very honest interview. I could name a few managers who would have said things a lot different
Hopefully it will just add some determination to put games like this to bed and create a little siege meteorology. I’m more concerned about sons hammy than the 2 points tbh, was particularly pleased with PEH today.
