[[OMGT - Tottenham vs QPR]]

Is Bale available for this game? It was only a one match suspension right?

I might be going to this game - my dads a QPR ST Holder and he sits right on the first row of the Paddock so would be nice for a change, from the last row of upper park lane, to watch a game from the lower echelons and hear the players scream and shout, and tackle, and a bit of banter.

I do like loftus Road

Yes, Bale is available (he already was for the Coventry FA Cup match).

Back in the day (Rodney Marsh, the Morgan twins, Terry Mancini), my cousin used to take me to Loftus Road when Spurs were playing away, so I've always had a very soft spot for them.

That was a great side, Givens, Bowles, Thomas, Masson, Francis, they have had some good players and have always tried to play the game in the right way.

ok since Ade is gone my new team is:

-------------------------------------Lloris-------------------------------------------

Naughton--------------Dawson-------------Vertonghen---------------------Ekotto

Lennon----------------Dembele------------Sandro----------------------------Bale

------------------------------------Dempsey---------------------------------------

------------------------------------Defoe-------------------------------------------

Subs: Friedel , Walker, Caulker, Parker, Huddlestone, Townsend, Sigurdsson

I think AVB will play Walker on the right and either Naughton or Vertonghen on the left with Gallas coming in at CB if fit.

In the old days ( black and white tv) I used to wear our "colours" in the Springbok, never any trouble and a great day out, no lie I once saw Stanley coming out of the bookies at 2.15 before the match.

i've been to Loftus road a few times myself as they were my local team. Have a soft spot for both them and Fulham.

Be prepared, you barely get any leg room at Loftus Road. Been there with my mate who's a QPR fan and to say the seats were a tight squeeze is putting it lightly, and I'm only 6 feet tall, GHod knows what it's like for taller people.

I'm 5'6" and couldnt put my feet flat on the floor while sitting down in the home section a couple years ago!

Ive been before - used to go with my dad back in the days of Ferdy and Sinton. I went to QPR before I went to spurs - yes im a glory hunter

My dad is at the very front row so loads of leg room but I know what you mean as ive sat in other areas and very cramped

So were reports of him flying out to Ghana untruthful? Or I guess he could have flown back..

what i read was that he flew out for a meeting with the President of the Togo FA or something to try and work out this pay dispute - he wasn't flying out to join up with the team or whatever so him being available for the QPR game would make sense

Quite a decision for AVB to make as to whether to pick Ade. My computer says 'no', but could be a malfunction :)

Ah fair enough. Ade should probably get skype in that case

Will be interesting to see.

Ade has started most games when he's been fit this season apart from just after we signed him when Defoe was red hot and Ade was far from match fitness.

Our three striker's stats compared...

Will be interesting to see who AVB selects up front. Playing devils advocate, you could actually make a case for playing Ade up top on his own to rest/protect Defoe while we have a chance to.

While Ade has been far from his best I still think he's added much more to the team than Pav or Crouch did & still has the possibility of upping his game another few levels (i.e. First 20 min Arse away)
Crouch went how many games without scoring? yet still got accolades cause he headed it down to VDV a few times.

Lets give him a chance + Id prob pick him for this to show "confidence" in him.

For Adebayor, a good time for him to go. He will know the fans are getting frustrated with him so the chance to have that pressure off him will be good, maybe get him into a goalscoring form again.

For us, not so bad in that the potential disruption of a benched-Adebayor, and I do think that if fully fit then Defoe + Dempsey give us an OK number of options. Still think we need one more in, be it a kid from the youth team or a loan.
