I think it’s quite telling that both athletes didn’t appeal the decision to ban them. Well Khelif did and then withdrew the appeal. They need to find a replacement to the IBA as the IOC are cowards and prioritise inclusion above everything else.

It's not telling that they didn't appeal. That process is a pain in the ass as it is, and I'd refuse it too, simply out of principle. Don't think anyone would like to go through countless humiliating examinations and tests! And really, no one should have to!

I would if it meant I could prove I was eligible to compete at the Olympics. I’ve heard people suggest going back to doing a cheek swab. I’m sure there’s something they can do that isn’t invasive.

I knew that response would come! Very easy to say when in your armchair, with zero possibility of having to do it yourself.
Also, they were eligible for the Olympics, just not for the Russian mob federation IBA, who are expelled from hosting boxing in the Olympics.

So what would you suggest they do? Allow people to compete based on what it says on your passport? Surely it’s better to have proper protocols in place rather than winging it and pandering like the IOC are doing.

I suggest we call a spade a spade. If you're born woman, raised as a woman, lived your entire life as a woman, got a passport saying you are a woman, then there's a bloody good chance you are a woman, and we call her a woman then.

The IOC could have cleared everything up by having proper testing and protocols in place rather than everyone gossiping and it not being 100% clear rather than bottling it and letting every individual sport decide.

Like I said, it was a suggestion that was thrown out there. I’m sure there must be a test or process that could be implemented that is better than what is in place now. I see Matthew Pinsent has just has his say on the matter and has blamed the IOC. I guess he’s a bigot and he’ll get hounded until he apologises.
