I don't think he has a "perfect" position, in fact I don't think he's suited for any position until he calms down and starts to follow instructions.

No it's actually you that's doing that.

You claimed he was better centrally....he played on the left, scored goals, assisted etc etc....you said nothing. Seasons over....you now come up with stuff about him going missing in games he actually played well in. Complete fiction of course but it's the end if season so a lot of people might actually forget what happened.

Considering all season I have been arguing with you that he should be played centrally I will politely suggest that maybe you suffer random bouts of amnesia. In the same vein I have have always suggested that Townsend would be more effective on the left with Lamela / Lennon on the right. Please do not fabricate my arguments just to make your case stronger.

What really amazes me is that you spent a lot of time arguing about him playing on the left but you are now claiming I said nothing ](*,)

You are entitled to disagree with me but there is no need to distort the truth

I have noticed Holtby has had a lot of knockers on this forum but I for one rate him highly. I thought Sherwood was wrong to send him on loan to Fulham, and I was really concerned we might sell him. Even during pre season he got a lot of stick with people accusing him of not listening to instructions and that he runs around doing his own thing.

Personally I have always thought that was absolutely poppy**** and that he is a very underrated player. He has impressed me in pre season, and I am convinced Poch rates him.
 
I've always rated him highly on here, at times it felt as if I was in a very small group of people supporting him.

I like his movement, he does roam but I think he does so with purpose. He wants to get involved, perhaps he'll need to learn how to help the team keep shape sometimes. He can score and has an eye for a pass. His tackling today was a bit over the top but I think that he's just a bit eager to impress to prove that he has a future with us. It's a big time at the moment as all players are playing for their places.

I think Holtby was a lot more impressive than Bentaleb, with the ball, today.
