Drop Dempsey. As long as Adebayor is away with Togo, our bench offers no attacking options if we are in need of a goal. Then we can take off Parker and introduce Dempsey if needed.

He looked fantastic. One touch passing, really intelligent. I have not been so excited about a signing for a long time
 
He was creative, showed he has vision and movement, and he actually wanted to be involved and made things happen. In the context of our incredibly brick performance up until then, it wouldnt take much to shine, but from these 15 minutes I'm sold. And that's the only 15 minutes I've seen of him.

Holtby will be a very good player for us. I'm betting my house on that!:)

With Dempsey we are more 442 than the 4411 with Holtby.
Holtby completed as many passes in his 22 mins as Dempsey did in his 71 tonight.

I don't think we can get away with playing 442 now without Sandro.
With Sandro and Dembele we still dominated games by only playing 2 in the middle, Parker and Dembele have failed to do this over the last few games.
We need to go back to a 4411 with a real number 10 in Holtby.

26 - Lewis Holtby had more touches (26) in 19 minutes vs Norwich than Jermain Defoe (25) did in the whole match. Involved.

I reckon Dembele has enough in him to do the Dirty work, Holtby can tackle. He's very similar to Wilbrick in the respect that he is creative but can play CM. Surely he can do no worse defensively than Parker and he will definitely be better offensively.

If our midfield worked more as a unit there wouldn't be a need for someone running around tackling the way Parker does.

I can see that line of thinking but one thing I thought when I saw Holtby play was that we finally have someone since Modric and VdV who will make the most of players movements off the ball Lennon and Bale may really flourish alongside Holtby

For me, Holtby paid off his £1.5m fee with that 15 minute cameo. A game-changing, point-gaining display.

decent debut, lets not forget it was against a tired side sitting deep though, its gonna take him a little time to settle in so lets not expect too much straight away

Bang on! But in order to stay with the one, I think we really need a fit and firing Ade to make this really look awesome. Defoe needs a rest.
