Out of that lot, I would be interested in talking to:

Alonso
Xavi
Valerde
De Zerbi
Motta
Jaissle
Tedesco
Terzic
Hoeneß
Schmidt
Rose
Blanc
Klopp
Nagelsmann
Pochettino

For the last two, who wouldn't be available until after the WC, I'm wondering if Rodgers is the best available experienced attacking caretaker? Off to wash my mouth out with soap.

Ambition is getting in Xabi Alonso right now and giving him a £200m transfer kitty now and another £200m plus funds from sales in the summer. They also need to pay the wages we need to pay to attract top quality players.

If we pay the wages the other top teams are offering, top players still won't pick us. If we pay more, they'll only be coming for the money. No thanks. We will only be able to do that successfully, if we get to min. top 3 PL/CL semi territory again.

The only way we'll get top talent, is taking a punt before they are established top quality players. Therefore we have to hope our current youngsters come good, or get a DoF in who delivers with the next crop.

Was that because they kept selling his best players and he had the mindset more of a top club manager that wanted to keep building? That could actually work in our favour. I don't really know so much about the guy though.
I don't think he had an issue with selling , more that he wanted first team ready players, which was outside the club model.

He should be on the list, but I would have concerns over him going full Conte after the board don't give him what he wants.

Ended badly at Brighton.
And we are back to the board again..
...so it really doesn't matter who is the boss. It will always end badly. Even if Poch came back. Just a matter of when

So we know that option isnt happening!

Alonso failed miserably at Madrid, despite having some of the best players in the world.

If you can’t succeed at Madrid, you’ll never have better facilities and players anywhere else.

It’s Palace, if he expected different he didn’t do even the most basic of research.

There are also massive power struggles at the club, Parish holding on for dear life, no one has ambitions beyond survival. At least Bournemouth sold Semenyo after an important game where he ended up being massively important. You can see why he is upset.

He had a 70% win ratio and they were 4 points off the top.

The main issue seemed to be that he wanted gallaticos to press when they didn't have the ball and they, well, didn't. Managing Madrid is about being a ego whisper. Coaches don't really work there

Expectations are different there.

I’m still pro Frank, but if he does go, how about Southgate, took over a useless England squad (Kane and Dier aside the rest were garbage) and massively over performed on the pitch and United the fan base.

That would be a massive no from me. England were a horrible watch under him and he’s just so bland.

I want Poch, here's my reasoning.
He knows what he's walking into. Yes the club changed after levy but there is so much more to the club than the high ups.

He's a CB, he will get the best out of our defence.
He's also Argentinian, the same as our captain an opportunity to forge a relationship.

He has a very good relationship with Gallagher, a player to build his mid field around.

He can point to his record of developing players, not just here but at Chelsea to get buy in from gray, Bergvall, tel etc.

After Frank Kudus, Simmons, kulu and Maddison will all be rejuvenated with his desire to attack.

But most importantly I want him because he wants to be here, he's not coming because of the money, it's not a stepping stone, he's not filling in until the next big job becomes available, he's here because he wants to be.

I also think he's probably the best that at this moment in time we could attract.

Won’t come until after the WC, so won’t get any pre-season with the players. Every chance Romero and/or VDV gone by then imo. I’d love it to work, but I have serious reservations that it would.

It’s about results, he’s proven he can get great results with incredibly limited resources.

England have some great talent at their disposal. As a non-Englishman, watching them under Southgate made my eyes bleed. We’d quickly be back where we are now, I reckon, with fans complaining that he’s not playing ‘the Tottenham way’ (whatever that actually is).
