New York City

I spent NYE in NY in the mid-nineties. We were staying in an apartment near Time Square and after a fair bit to drink decided to amuse ourselves by chucking wee off the balcony.

Thanks for the tips and advice everyone.

Still umming and ahhing about whether or not to forego 22 years of vegetarianism and have my first taste of meet in NYC!

You'll be there when I'm there, how about a nice beer, some meat ;) and the Spurs game?

'Merica!! **** yeah.

footwear? - imagine its going to be slushy/snowy.. what sort of footwear would you reccomend?

I love NY - especially over Christmas. Home alone style

Going Montreal over Christmas for nine days - gonna be awesome... been a dream of mine to go there...

Korea town is good, had a brilliant dinner at Hangawi, felt very authentic and the food was brilliant, you must also try the rice wine taster menu.

The High Line is a must, plus walking the Brooklyn Bridge. If you don't have time for Statue of Liberty, go on the free Staten Island Ferry. 9/11 museum

If you get the opportunity, try some Montreal smoked meat, it is absolutely amazing http://www.schwartzsdeli.com/ Closed Fri night and Saturday

I am and the main dishes... smoked meat bagels and poutine although not keen on cheese curds but will give it a try. That Schwartz place looks cool and have it on my to do list along with a whoe heap of other stuff
