New Stadium and Training Ground - Pg 104 Northumberland Park master plan

Re: New stadium and training ground thread - Pg 74 Haringey Council plans 2025

There have been a number of other extra planning applications detailing minor details on the original plan. They have lots of diagrams with details but little description of precise changes, so its hard to figure out what is going on.

The latest one I could find mentions "Revised location of bridge link" (url) and still shows it in the diagram. Strangely, there is only one in 2012 so the search might be incomplete and miss newer amendments.

P.S. If you want to check the applications, go to the Haringey planning search page and search for "748 High Road N17". You have to go through several pages until the end.

Kyle Walkers tweeted

"Just got to the new training ground and it's the best I have seen and been in hopefully the start of something special #COYS

have they moved into it today then?

England often train at London Colney.

Re: New stadium and training ground thread - Pg 74 Haringey Council plans 2025

dont the England team train at Arse's London Colney training ground?? If so then Walker knows about their facilities, plus he trained for Villa at Boddymoor Heath and there they had a massive upgrade of facilities a few years back.

So to say ours is better than Arse's and Villa's is pretty good

Chillax zone? Not under AVB. More likely to be called Squad Spirit Solidification Zone.

And look who's happy about being in the pool. The Octopus.

Further to Jimmyb and T-C's debate re: Olympic Stadium. No chance the NFL will want to settle in there. They too have been abandoning big athletics-type stadiums(LA Coliseum)in recent years - or multi-use grounds that accomodated baseball(Pittsburgh, Philly, Cleveland's Mistake-By-The-Lake, etc.) - in favour of tightly-built, football-first stadiums that properly showcase their sport. They get that if paying customers aren't receiving a proper view of the sport, they'll stop buying tickets and stay home in comfort to watch on HD TVs.

That's exactly what'll happen once mundane events like Waste Ham football settle in. Can you imagine a rainy winter's day with no roof for shelter? To build a proper one, the costs will be so high you might as well build a whole new ground.
