I remember being a massive fan of Leonhardsen while he was at Liverpool so was really excited when he joined, but yeah he was really disappointing for us. Sometimes when a starting lineup of Sissoko and Winks begins to depress me I think back to the glorious midfields of the 90s.

Although I slyly think Sissoko would fit right in with that crowd. [emoji28]

So many of our "mediocre" players of last 5 years would be stars in the 90's lineups ... fudge we used to be truly brick ...

During my time I can’t think of a bad goalkeeper we have had?? As in a no.1 or even no.2 really. Very early days of me supporting Spurs had Thorstvedt, then Walker,Sullivan,Keller,Friedel,Robinson,Cudicini,Lloris. I’m sure I’ve missed a couple but no one who stood out as bad?

The rest of the team is a little easier to find names:D.....

Well that’s extremely harsh - According to Wiki Pletikosa never made an appearance for us,Alnwick made one appearance and Gazza is at least a decent level really. Which proves my point, for goalkeepers we’ve done pretty well over the past 25 years or so at least....

Mimms was a disaster, has to be him. Although El Tel signed him and Peter Guthrie at the same time to fight it out I recall. :D

Alnwick was a horrific keeper. Worst I’ve ever seen, but that was before we signed him. Couldn’t believe it when we did, but luckily he never really played.

Sorry if this is off topic, but Sissoko is not a good goalie either. Mods, feel free to move this post is it doesn’t belong in the Sissoko thread.
