Astounding. I'm not sure what Chelsea are playing at here as they have 0% chance of winning the appeal.

Basically, as with the John Terry incident, Chelsea feel there is a loophole whereby there is no TV coverage to bring punishment, therefore the challenge.
What? We've all seen it, and if we have, there's no way the FA can deny having seen it. So what exactly is left to establish? Intent? It's not some careless remark whispered through cupped hands, it's Ivanovic elbowing some poor Wigan bloke in the gut.
With their reserve defence of (Boswinga Luiz Cahill Bertrand) and our hoofing clowns (Walker Nelson King BAE) this could be a high scoring semi final.
Get some bets on of at least 3 goals.
Stat from last week was that we have scored 4 goals from our last 100 chances created.
I now we are scoring too little, but stats can be misleading. For example each and every of Bales hope-and-hammer shots from 20-50 yards out over the last games count as "chances created". Each and every of Kabouls headers sailing 3 yards over the bar count. Each and every of Rafas freekicks in the wall. Each and every of Ade's curiously inctricate finishes like against Sunderland, where he could head a cross ever so easily in from 2.5 yards but instead made such a soft, cushioned impact it barely trickled to the defender who cleared it on the line.
Also, we don't create a whole lot open chances. How much did we create against Norwich from wide open chances ?
There is absolutely no way he can surely? The guy is on video punching Maloney. What more evidence would they need?
In my opinion, completely pointless appeal and hopefully results in and extra game ban.
There is no such thing as a frivolous appeal anymore resulting in an extra game ban. That rule went 3 years ago so basically it doesn't matter that he's appealing it.
Can't provide a link but just know it to be true. Remember when the kompany ban was being discussed a journo on talksport corrected Andy Gray that the frivolous appeal ruling went 3 years ago.
I'll flip the question onto you, can you provide a link to any player that has received an extra game ban for a frivolous appeal?
