Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

So my summary of the press con.

Poch is relaxed about things he can’t control, other teams results, players signing contracts, completing the stadium build, where Warnock wants us to play and whether everyone thinks winning the Carabao cup will define his tenure.

If you don’t finish how we have finished [in the league] in the last three seasons but win the FA Cup, I don’t know if Daniel [Levy, the Spurs chairman] would have too much patience with me or is nice to say: ‘OK, you’re 10th in the Premier League, I’ll give you a new contract.’

“My ambition is to win the Champions League with Tottenham or the Premier League. That’s what puts you in a different level.”

“It doesn’t just depend on us to regenerate the squad. In case we don’t sell players, it’s impossible to bring players in and to find the capacity to bring players in.”

For £70m. If that’s accurate, we’ll need NASA to calculate the transfer fee for Kane, Alli or Eriksen.

On the other hand, encouraging quotes from Poch about his ambition being to win the PL or CL with us.
 
The bit about selling players is interesting, lots of talk that he wanted a clear out previously. I wonder if we might see 2/3 of the regular 15/16 out and high quality replacements in - I'd guess Rose, Alderweireld, Dembele, Wanyana and maybe one of the RBs.

I’ll be surprised if Rose is part of any clearout. Alderweireld is obviously if he doesn’t sign up.

Depends how he performs over the rest of the season and how Poch views him, I'm sure he didn't take too kindly to his outburst.
 
I heard something today on talksport that actually made sense.

He’s not going to push for a move to United, he’s more than happy here.

If Levy agrees to sell him he will go and talk to them and potentially move.

Levy won’t, so that’s the end of it.
