Some nice realism. A long contract is no sign of commitment from the club, it just determines the severance payment. It's more an insurance policy that guarantees the manager or club some money if the manager is sacked or poached.

Holy brick. Not good enough for Everton but good enough for Barcelona?

I’ve always thought Martinez is a decent manager but no better than that because he can’t organise a defence and talks utter drivel. He is certainly not at that level.

Its for those reasons I think he is not a decent manager.

He doesnt learn, doesnt work on his weaknesses, doesnt compensate for his teams deficiencies...

And for all the "attacking" play he gets from teams its actually really quite unstructured.

I think in managerial terms he is a much less capable Redknapp. He is good at the man management and geeing the players up, but little else.
