That has to be up there with Nevilles cameo in Spain doesn’t it?
Has Rooney ever succeeded as a manager?
That was always the question mark - did he do well for their situation or was that just his level?Didn’t he do well at Derby, in context of their situation?
They did it before and sacked Rowett to bing in Zola…. Who failed miserablyThe Rooney appointment was a mystery given the circumstances. Take a bunch of players performing well in play off positions and sack the manager they're obviously getting on well with and working for and replace him with a big name and an awful track record.
It's one of those where you have to look at the board and wonder how they thought it'd go well. Up there with Lampard's second spell as caretaker for Chelsea which was absolute fudging comedy gold.
imo it is very rare, that a great player, goes on to be a good manager.
Different skillset. There aren't that many great players compared to not great players. So if it is 1 in a hundred players can be good managers. There will be 1 in 100 great players that become great managers. Very few.
Hahahahahaha, Mourinho given the tin tack by Roma. Bye bye you arrogant fudging dinosaur!
He was already mouthing off about all the massive offers he got from Saudi while employed by Roma... That's where he goes next. He'll be fishing for the Saudi Sportswashing Machine job no doubt

Saudi Sportswashing Machine seem to be a bit more restrained. Or constrained due to ffp. Can't see mourinho going there. Hansi flick maybe. Or Gallardo.
