Lucas Bergvall

I think it's a great characteristic. A young player with talent like he has should be doing all he can to ensure he fulfils his promise as a footballer. He's also not come out and slagged off the club or made any demands. As far as we can tell, it's been handled professionally.

And given the absolute cluster this club has been since he has been here, can you blame anyone for thinking their development lies elsewhere???

Not sure he is demanding anything, he wants to play, be that here or elsewhere, he is entitled to have that ambition. Players despite popular belief are not silly, they know if you spend near 200m on two CMs your time is going to be limited regardless of your own self belief.

In all honesty, it doesn't seem like we have an issue leveraging these youngsters for money to spend elsewhere either, so its likely abit of both
Pre-season hasn't even started properly and he's looking to move, I don't believe he's even back at Spurs to talk with RDZ yet

We've seen injuries affecting the squad over the past 2 season, anything can change

The club are making the right call with these youngsters if the right bid comes in

Of course but we don't know if this is also not the club manufacturing exits for profits so we can invest elsewhere, thats certainly how alot of this looks

We could sell him now for £50m or not sell this summer, he plays a bit part, his price drops and we sell him for £25m next season to Everton.
I think that's a sensible way of looking at it. I think one of his problems is not really having a defined position as it stands.
A talented player no doubt, but I think in the here and now we have stronger players ahead of him so he's not going to get the playing time he wants and needs.

Probably a good move for both us and his, he is not going to get a regular place in our CM at this time so better for both camps to move on.
