And given the absolute cluster this club has been since he has been here, can you blame anyone for thinking their development lies elsewhere???

Pre-season hasn't even started properly and he's looking to move, I don't believe he's even back at Spurs to talk with RDZ yet

We've seen injuries affecting the squad over the past 2 season, anything can change

The club are making the right call with these youngsters if the right bid comes in

Of course but we don't know if this is also not the club manufacturing exits for profits so we can invest elsewhere, thats certainly how alot of this looks

I think that's a sensible way of looking at it. I think one of his problems is not really having a defined position as it stands.
A talented player no doubt, but I think in the here and now we have stronger players ahead of him so he's not going to get the playing time he wants and needs.

In spells during a game, maybe, but for a whole game or a run of games he has never shown it. He’s had two years in the worst midfield in the PL and never made his case.

I think 50mil for a squad player is another smart move. Unrealized potential is less valuable than a proven commodity but seems to be overly valued in the football world. Take the money and reinvest wisely.

Yes exactly. Moreover, he can lose the ball and give up possession leaving the defence exposed. What teams are paying for is that unknown X factor. At 20 years old, he's already done a lot. Can he develop more? Probably. But how much? A lot depends on the coaching team and playing opportunities. Playing in an easier league could help him develop too. Of course Bergvall may well plateau, not develop a great deal more, but he'd still be a 40-50m player. My guess is he will always be a bit mercurial, able to wow with a moment of brilliance, but also cost a goal giving up possession. He'll always put in 110% effort so managers and fans will appreciate him. And he's got potential to add goals to his game, we saw hints of this under Ange. Happy to turn his potential into cash and proven players. But only if we get a good fee.
