Well it's clear RDZs preference is footballing CBs over defensive nous and ability. Love Kev and wouldn't want to see him go at all but in a season with no Europe would make sense for him and us if not going to really be used.
What it does do is put huge pressure on RDZs attacking system to work and to dominate games because its unlikely we will be particularly secure defensively....
We’d be going from heavy on the RCBs the last few seasons to the opposite this season, you can put your house on Van Hecke getting a lengthy injury!I guess it explains the new Davies contract, the vice captaincy and his playing presence in the cups.
Concerning that we'd be willing to let him go
Defending is reacting to the oppositionThere’s how RDZ wants to play, and then there’s how other teams are going to force him to play, if he has any sense.
Anyway, it’s moot. No evidence apart from this one rando on Twitter that the club is doing anything other than turning down bids.
Yeah. He's got qualities none of the other defenders have and he seems a good pro.Hopefully he does seem the prospect of being a key squad member as attentive because he has lots of really good qualities that make him a great option to have.
Tbh I think he's better on the ball than many are making out. He's a better passer than VDV for example. Not as comfortable in possession possibly, but his actual used of the ball is easily superior. With the new boys it remains to be seen, but yeah his quality in the ball is quite underrated at this point.Yeah. He's got qualities none of the other defenders have and he seems a good pro.
I don't think he's going to manage with RDZ ball, but I wouldn't be looking to offload this window, next summer is a different discussion.
I have a soft spot for him, Brighton mistake aside he was immense in those last few games and did more than most in keeping us up.
