We’d be going from heavy on the RCBs the last few seasons to the opposite this season, you can put your house on Van Hecke getting a lengthy injury!

Selling him would increase our chances of a relegation battle by about 35%. What if we are totally exposed in the air over and over and RdZ has to change it but doesn't have the option?

I'm not as enamoured with him as others and I don't really see where he fits with how RDZ wants to play, except as a late sub to protect a lead. Seems fair that he might want to leave and the club is not in the business of standing in a player's way this summer.

We need players who are good at that and we don’t have many imo
Losing the CB we have who actually seems to be best at it would be daft

Tbh I think he's better on the ball than many are making out. He's a better passer than VDV for example. Not as comfortable in possession possibly, but his actual used of the ball is easily superior. With the new boys it remains to be seen, but yeah his quality in the ball is quite underrated at this point.

I wonder if RDZ thinks Malachi Hardy is ready to step up. I'd be surprised, but he did talk him up during pre season.
But surely if you are facing Brentford or Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the Prem and need to shore things up, you would rather bring on Danso than Hardy.

I was just thinking earlier we'd got rid of Romero / Dragusin / Vusk this summer, all 3 RCBs, surely we wouldn't also sell Danso and thus remove 4 RCBs in one window?!
