January transfer rumour thread

What is the media's obsession with swap deals? I can think of only a couple EVER that have occurred in the top flight of note.

Totally agree, been saying it for a while. If Bassong is sold we need a replacement, even if only a loan until Summer when hopefully Vertonghen arrives
Same with Pav, we've been okay so far, but leaving Ade,VDV and Defoe as our sole forwards would be a couple of hamstrings away from a mess

the thing is whenever Bassong fills in, it still looks like he tries and actually gives a brick...with Pav, a bottle of vodka would do a better job playing up front...he doesn't seem to even want to feign effort..

How difficult could it be? 'Lots of stuff happening. Levy close on some deals'. When nothing happens you just make up some excuses.
