Injuries

No not especially. Of course there is something to it, but the notion that Angeball is the only reason hamstring injuries occur is simply not true. Here's a graphic from Opta from Feb 2025 which I believe is a little more accurate to the one you posted. And here's a link to a decent overview of the reasons behind hamstring injuries in today's game (this is something which has been discussed many times, specifically with regards to the overload on players game wise for multiple breakless seasons)...

so i asked Aria AI to summarise that article and it seems to point to player overuse as a general cause, better training and rehab as mitigation strategies and we are above the norm in the number of hamstring injuries.

With the greatest of respect to you mate (we are friends) I hope you also read the story and drew your own conclusions. Personally, the moment Ai becomes a primary decipher of articles and features for me will be a sad one (you'll sympathise with my POV given my background and career)...

Amen to that.

yes, friend, i did and it was an article that provided no solutions. aria ai was able to pull in a few more articles (see source below) which generally concluded that fatigue and overuse of muscles are the main direct and indirect reasons for hamstring injuries (and others too).

I think this is well known? What solution are you looking for beyond football in general understanding the ludicrous workload being placed on top players with all the extra tournaments?
