Injuries

I think partly because they want positive vindication from those around him. Independent experts like say "not fit", bloke who follows Conte from job to job tells him what he wants to hear.
well that bloke is probably still around, the same one who told ange vdv and romero were last fit

So now I hear Djed Spence is now a doubt along with Bissouma and Sarr, you really cannot make this stuff up. This stopped being funny a long term ago.

Media are circulating an article now saying Ange fell out with the long standing medic who left (It was the Athletic I think so take with pinch of salt).

he doesn't think he is responsible for the injuries
Literally the polar opposite mate.

In the presser this is from he specifically said “if your looking for anyone to blame then it’s me, I take full responsibility “ in reference to the anonymous source (recently sacked doctor) blaming it all on him.

Edit: IMO it’s well worth watching the pressers yourself rather than taking soundbites from fans/media that can easily be twisted to suit agendas as we have seen.

Our injury record and recovery wasn't exactly great under Geoff Scott either. Players lost entire seasons because of him insisting on treatment rather than surgery, only for them to need surgery after a year of unsuccessful treatment. Happened to several of our players.

There were times though when players decided not to have surgery either. Also in some cases surgery is not the preferred first option. Again there are influences at play, players and managers etc

Yes, surgery should be last resort, but with some injuries it's really the only option. But the reluctance to surgery was a constant with Scott.
Yeh I suppose, I just seem to remember Winks saying something about not wanting surgery and then having to have it in Italy after refusing it for ages.

Winks is a diamond. One day that autobiography will come out and tell the truth about our club. It will not be favourable.

Patients don't advise medical professionals what treatment they need but football clubs treat footballers as commodities and don't put their welfare first.

It's my biggest argument for regulators....

I tend to agree. He suffered badly.

It's political. All of it. The fact that Scott has chosen now to leak his grievances tells me everything both about him and those who are looking to use his grievances at the club in certain situations right now.
