Harry Kane MBE

It makes a difference to me. I worry about it and would like to know. I think it's fair to keep fans informed about the injury situaion of players rather than to keep us in the dark all the time.

Personally I am with the club, they will release the news when they deem it necessary.

For the record I would like Daniel Levy to keep me informed with transfer dealings, but the club feel fit not to comment officially until the deals are done.

Bottom line, we might want to know but we do not need to know at this time

But what is the point in keeping it a secret?

It does annoy me how the club always refuses to say how long they think a player will be out for. I realize that you can't say for certain, but can they not give an estimate based on the extent of the injury. I am sure our medical staff has considerable experience with all kinds of sports injuries.

Good to hear it's better than expected though.

If they were to estimate a date and it does not happen then all the bitching would start, they can not win either way.

We've had years and years of moaning at our inept medical staff when players didn't return soon enough. Not knowing makes little difference, we usually get updates when someone is getting close to returning or is back in training.

Is the medical staff so afraid of geting some criticism if a player returns from injury a bit later than they had estimated that they just refuse to make their estimation public?

So we have people moaning/bitching about not being told when they THINK a player may return, and they give a date and when it does not happen its starts others moaning/bitching about them being wrong.

As i said they can not win.

Maybe just maybe they don't want disappoint 'anybody' including the player by just guessing!
I certainly hope pur medical staff don't "guess". I hope they are more competent than that. And I am sure they tell their patients when they can expect to be back on their feet, just like they do to any other person who seek medical help. I know that when I had surgery, they told when I could expect to be back in full activity.

The only good argument I can see, is that it is down to confidentiality between doctor and patient.

At this stage of his recuperation the best that they could do is make an educated guess. My guess as to why Poch is being vague is that he does not want to give a running commentary of Kane's fitness and is trying to reduce pressure on the players.

People all heal at different rates.....let's say between 3 weeks and 8 weeks allowing for setbacks etc

tickle my balls with a feather guys. If MoPo says 6 weeks it becomes a big news story and headlines around the world, then a week by week countdown, then shock and anger if it doesn't happen. Better to be as boring as possible as with most MoPo interviews, stay off the back pages and quietly go about our business.

Hopefully enough time for Janssen to find rhythm, and for Kane to have a rest, but not lose too much fitness. Back after the international break maybe?

wonderful news, I, er don't rate his replacement whatsoever, looking forward to seeing him link up with Son.

Westbrom away then on the 15th it is.
But which season?

Best let it go. Whatever estimate the club may give, chances are it'll be totally wrong. And even when he does get back there's still a risk - ye gods forbid - of a relapse.

We are not keeping opponents guessing though. We have said that Kane won't be playing tomorrow, so CSKA know that. When he is about to be ready to return, we will say that Harry Kane is close to full fitness and that we will make a late decision whether or not to include him in the squad. That is fine. I am not saying that we should tell the opponent the team in advance. I would just like them to give a rough estimate of when he will return based on the assessment of our medical staff.

They would only know in the build-up to the game that there was an outside chance of Kane returning.
It means we keep teams guessing in the 6-8 week period who have to setup to play against Janssen or Kane.
