Harry Kane MBE

Agree with this and IF we had named a stronger side we may not have to go through a reply. Funny how naming a weakened side adds to yet more games.

That might have happened, it also might not have made any difference whatsoever. It is all just speculation, so I don't really understand why you keep mentioning it.

We will never know

We suffered the same problem in that game that we have in others.... Taking our chances when we're massively dominant

Yesterday we looked great when we played quickly and directly. When we plodded we looked average and like Arsenal!

Everything is mostly speculation, I mentioned it because its true.

It's opinion rather than true. We all know that you wanted us to play a full strength team (you might have mentioned it once or twice), we didn't and still put in our best 45 minutes of the season. Luck didn't run our way, I do not see how it can be assumed that having more first team players in the team would have changed our luck.

Well we will never know now. If we get knocked out in the reply ( and lose yet another trophy which would make it two for the season) I will probably mentioned it again as well. As long as that is ok with you :p

I used to post on this forum years ago, probably around the time Kane was forced to wear that nasty scumbag shirt for a photo. Long before he was where he's at now.

Anyway, as I missed the hype around his rise, I thought I'd flick through this tread from the start and it is the best thing I've read.
Starts off harmlessly enough with "our strikers are pants, give this kid at Norwich a go..". Then it's "he's no Soldado". Adebayor decided to show up to the party at one point which meant Kane would probably never make it. Then BOOM..... Kane starts his rampage.

Well worth a re read for anyone who has some spare time. Long live the quiet days at work!

You mean if we'd named a full-strenght side we'd have beaten Leicester in the FA Cup last week?
We named a full-strength side a few days later and actually LOST so i don't know how you can say for sure that we'd have won...

I just quickly went through some of the old posts... It's incredible. Really is such a feel good story.

Found this from me quite some way back...
He started off as a bit of a cult hero. Now he has convinced everybody. What a story. Absolutely love the guy, his attitude is simply unreal. He is actually so so underrated. The rest of the league still thinks "HURRI-KANE" is some sort of joke.

But going back before that, so many of us were to say he's not got what it takes.

You right we did lose but Leicester had their best side out, in the cup game they made 7/8 changes to their best side so I would expect our first team to have beaten their second choice team. However its all history now and I hope that we are still in the Cup come late Wednesday night.

I have to admit to being one of the doubters, especially when Kane came on as a sub and scored that late og at Sunderland

Never would've guessed he'd become one of our most prolific strikers within 12 months

When he first started appearing for us, I was too trigger happy in my mind, thinking that he would never make it with us. I thought that he would end up lower leagues and that would be that. Turns out that this was based on the history of our young strikers being Rory Allen & Neale Fenn, and not a true great in the making. I've been very happy to be proved wrong.

I do think that he appears less sharp, in open play, than he did last season, in terms of his finishing. However, I have full confidence in his ability, and am very happy that he plays for us.

Same here. I remember my nephews and I calling him donkey for scoring that own goal. Never thought he will become our top goal scorer ! But he still needs to improve a lot though, especially scoring from one-on-one chances.

I can see a little bit of that in his play. He is bringing the ball into contact all too often rather than shifting it on quickly, or getting a shot off (that's not blocked). I do think this is a symptom of us overplaying him though, and he's still scoring which ain't bad.
Hey Daniel take your chequebook out and make it a season to remember for the right reasons.
