I would have to say Raul and Ronaldo (Brazilian) although possibly one of those could be replaced by Van Nistelrooy but I will go with the two I have originally chosen.

Those two actually look like they could be right......I think statto has also missed someone out. I am pretty sure Owen might be on the list, didnt he score a Hat-trick for United at Wolfsburg in 2010? Might have got a couple of Hat tricks for Liverpool in the early noughties before leaving for Real Madrid.

Messi got 5 against Leverkusen and 4 against Arsenal and a hattrick earlier this season against that Czech(?) side so he's one for sure.
 
Owen has three hat tricks, 2 for Liverpool and 1 for United, though his first one was in a qualifier.
 
I love this thread and I thank you THFC6061 for keeping it going however lately it feels like you are just a bot who posts today's question and yesterday's answer whilst the usual 3-4 people respond to it - rather than actually replying to anyone here, correcting them and explaining why their answer is not included (e.g. he only got 2, he didn't play for them etc..)

For example I'd like your thoughts on Owen not being included in "3 UEFA Champions League hat-tricks" as the question doesn't sound like it omits qualifiers.

I'd also like your take on your 25 Man Utd under Fergie managers as you didn't make it clear whether it included Scotland '86 and you completely ignored all the other answers given in the thread which included many who were players under Fergie and who went on to be managers....

Great questions, just not really any feedback on them - you may as well just have a twitter feed going.
 
It was a Brazilian in the 1970 WC, so my boss says anyway.

I think THFC6061 posts these questions all over the place so expecting him to give feedback on every answer is a stretch TBF.
