First Match - Who Will We Play?

Think it was the year before that I travelled up to the City Ground when we played them in the 5th Rnd of the league cup. Full of excitement but quickly subdued when we played terribly and went in 2-0 down at HT. The second half was classic away day as we somehow turned it on and pulled it back to 2-2. Felt like a win.

C.ock a hoop we were all set for the replay. Forest then duly turned us over at the Lane 3-2 in another classic game. Dejected I always remember them banging on the hoardings to the rhythm of 'Brian Cloughs red and white army' for ages.

Oh yeah, January 1990...what ups and down...and bleeping Nigel Jemson!
 
I was in the away end in October 1990 when we beat them 1-2 with a David Howells goal in the 90th minute (his second that day). Serious scenes!
