FIFA: Destroying Football Since 1904

Damn. Even Norway's top league is fully professional. That's just ridiculous. Happy for him to get to experience it though, obviously.

All Australian clubs plus Auckland FC and Wellington play in the A-league, which is part of the Asian Football Confederation. That's why Oceania is represented by the much weaker Auckland City. Even though Auckland FC are the current A-league champions, they weren't good enough to represent Asia.

It's the CL winners from 21 to 24 and 8 other teams selected by a ranking system and each country is limited to two teams. This year an additional team has qualified through their rank since Real have won two CLs. At first I thought it would be the UEFA club coefficient for the same years, but somehow Red Bull Salzburg are there despite multiple teams from other leagues being better than them. It seems FIFA have their own coefficient that was used. Absolutely nothing dodgy happening here.
The factors that led to Salzburg qualifying are:
(a) the max 2 teams per country rule, so higher ranked teams from England, Germany, Spain & Italy didn't qualify because there were already 2 qualified teams from those countries, and
(b) the ranking is only based on Champions League matches; other teams, like Brugge and Rangers, with a higher UEFA coefficient than Salzburg gained significant points from Europa League and Conference League matches.
Anyway, it's a ridiculous competition.
