Might be for the best for everyone. 10 years here at the end of next season, a testimonial game and he gets a last big pay day signing somewhere on a free. Also gives us an extra year to get cover in and allows us this year to concentrate on getting a starting CB.

He can be abit wet old Windy but he has that spot on, all the hate thats manifested from self entitlement is astonishing. Now I know self entitlement is a sore word to use because generally its met with "we have not won anything its not about entitlement" but I use that phrase for those specifically that go out their way to spread hate and bile not those that air general frustrations. Some of the replies are just grim

That’s fair enough. For me, he is one of the first players we should try and get shot of in the summer but I’ve never ever felt the need to give him abuse online or even at the match. I just shake my head when he makes a mistake. You should see some of the responses on Facebook or Instagram when he’s modelling the club’s clothing and merchandise. Has nothing to do with football. I think it’s people with nothing other than football in the lives and they just like to lash out at certain players.

Didnt he have complications with appendicitis, or something like that, around that period that affected him for quite a long time?

He had the appendicitis which kept him out for a quite a while, but then after that there was something else - I don't think it was ever explained what it was but it involved surgery if I recall correctly.
