Dier update

Eric Dier has undergone a medical procedure to correct an issue detected during medical assessments on the first day of pre-season training.

Following the successful procedure Eric will now undertake a short period of rehabilitation. He will therefore not travel on the Club's pre-season tour to Singapore and Shanghai.

I am concerned that the latest issue is non football too. Initially I thought this was a blow as he needed a full pre season to prepare his body fully to try and contribute next season but due the ambiguity of the update I just hope he’s ok.

We always seem to have a sicknote in the team and it always seems to be a first team regular. Obviously the last couple of years we have had multiple of regularly injured players, i.e Dier, Kane and Lamela.

Yes, if he had a normal injury, they would have told us in the update that he was having a minor operation on his groin/ abdomen/ ankle or whatever.
The lack of information certainly points to something irregular, whether it is an injury, illness, addiction etc.
