Doesn't matter anymore as long as you mention spurs it's valid. I remember the days when staff would try to keep things on topic & threads would be moved to there right place. Unfortunately those days are gone & you just have accept it or leave I guessWait, what thread is this again?
Your standard for world bearers seems similar to mine.Agree with this . With regards to top level starters this is exactly what we need.
A lot will disagree but I don’t see us troubling top 4 until we buy some better players.
I don’t see any real world beaters in our squad. I mean top top tier talent. We have some young players who could possibly get there but for every Kane, Bale , Modric ,there’s been double that in dross that never gets there.
This squad does not have anything near the mentioned above. Let alone others we have seen come good . Dele , Berbatov etc.
This is a position I’ve held for a while spoke to it all last summer. The quality of player we have has diminished.
We do need to buy young unproven talent and hope that we pick up a Gem but also need some real proven quality to help them come good and to show them the way and set standards. Son was that but that’s gone a year or two back in terms of once top tier talent. Romero maybe but he is not in that bracket I’m talking about.
Looking at our squad as it is Frank will need to get us playing well beyond the some of our parts to get close to top 4. Poch done that but had some talent sprinkled in and coached players to be better.
Some of our fan base massively over rate our players because they are at Spurs.
We also need a proper captain. A leader as I don’t see one when things are going against us .
Sadly you might be correct , they are out of our reach. Developing young to become stars is rare. As I said for every Kane there’s 10 mediocre players.Your standard for world bearers seems similar to mine.
Pretty much the only way we've been able to get those players in the past has been by developing younger talented players or taking a chance on someone less proven.
It's probably still our most likely avenue to get there. Maybe someone like Eze could be that player. But most of those proven to be that player at a high level are out of our reach.
Community owned clubs , zero hope of that in the PL.

To me the wage structure is set up well to maximise the chance that we get a next superstar or two through west I see as the most likely route. Leaves room in the transfer budget for quite a lot of highly talented signings. As well as less proven, but very good players such as VdV.Sadly you might be correct , they are out of our reach. Squad is very short of top tier talent. It’s got depth but that depth is all ok players.
So do the club need to pay wages that attract better players . Our Chairman said he wants to win leagues. It’s unrealistic. Weird statement from him.
Empty words to get Levy off the hook short term. We all know his only real target is regular qualification for the CL on the cheap. Our Chairman said he wants to win leagues. It’s unrealistic. Weird statement from him.

He got really lucky getting to the CL final with Poch, but none of that squad cost a bomb. In addition to the home-growns (Kane, Winks, Walker-Peters) he pulled off a clutch of absolute steals (Rose £1m, Trippier £3.5m, Walker £4m, Dier £4m, Dele £5m, Davies+Vorm combined c£13m); plus several excellent bargains (Eriksen £9m, LLoris £10m, Aldereiweld £11m, Verts £11m, Wanyama £11m). Even most of his his medium-priced buys proved really shrewd investments (Son £22m, Aurier £23m, Lamela £25m, Moura £25m).
Ironically his most expensive buys were his poorest value for money (Sissoko £30m, Sanchez £42m).

If we'd continued to bring in talent and sold someone like Eriksen, Alli or Dier at just past their peak we wouldn't have had the dip we've had. I'd blame Poch as much as Levy or anyone else

Not sure what Change can hope to achieve, they had violent fan demos at the Hammers did it get rid of the owners, answer no apart from the one who died RIP.
St's and Members already have their elected reps who attend FAB meetings who needs Change. if we want a question raised we ask our rep to do it.
There was supposed to be a FAB meeting on 24th June so the minutes should be out within a couple of weeks, might be news on stopping screenshots of QR codes being transferred as this person is attending.
CTO Attendance: The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is scheduled to attend the next meeting on 24 June 2025 to discuss technological advancements and their impact on club operations.
Minutes link can be found on this page if anybody interested.

It may have been possible to take control of the club when we were publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange but when Scholar left and we were in deep financial trouble it was only Sugar who stepped in with the cash and like you say no supporter groups got together to take a large proportion of shares at the club. Not sure when we moved from LSE to AIM but once Levy delisted us to become a private company and not public the only way to get control of the club is to buy out ENIC's 87% so it's now out of reach of supporter groups .Because UK fans will not put their fudging money where their mouth is, Spurs was publicly traded for years, did any of the supporters groups make an attempt to purchase any shares? even just to have voting rights? there are still ~13% of Spurs shares available, why are none of the groups buying?
Very simple factsFor aficionado's of the wage/revenue ratio, something that never worried anybody until Deloitte started featuring it in about 21 or 22 in their money league.
If you go back to the last season at WHL the club had 439 full time employees and the wage bill was £126.9 million , revenue £306.3 million.
In the last accounts full time employees numbered 820 and the wage bill was £221.9 million, revenue £528.2 million, what nobody knows and this applies to all football clubs what proportion of the wage bill goes to the 1st team squad.
Other interesting snippets in the 2018 accounts, 62,000 on the ST waiting list and 126,000 members.
And Villa being in cahoots but now being left outThe problem is the likes of chelsea selling their womens team to themselves for £200m.
Or swapping youngsters at inflated fees.
I don't think Levy is the issue, Lewis (family) are the ones with money , they are not putting money into the club and don't really seem interested in selling.Empty words to get Levy off the hook short term. We all know his only real target is regular qualification for the CL on the cheap.
