ENIC

Quite a few of the 'big' Spurs social media accounts getting behind this too. I think it'll be more than the usual 15-20 people that it used to be.

On a side note - Why do you call them idiots?

Maybe because they REALLY think they can make a change by waving a couple of home made banners about.

I think now as a customer base where it feels transactional more than ever (I jacked my ST in because I am a firm believer of you touch yourself you makes your choice), I can see why people now feel there is a need to voice their opinion. We all know Enic are going nowhere but for the first time in a while I am sided with the fans who feel they wanna have a rant about it.

You really think that those who protest against wars are idiots. I could go on but you must see that there is a big difference.
Your statement was "because they REALLY think they can make a change by waving a couple of home made banners about".

Whereas personally I suspect that anyone that protests does think they can make a change yes.

And you know what? There have been many cases in history where people protesting has brought about change. Even at THFC it was the Sugar Out protests that got the ball rolling.

And i stick by that statement, as for the outcome and the outing of Levy i suggest you do not hold your breath for that to happen.

Change strategy from what to what? A structure has been put in place on the football side in the last 18 months to support footballing decisions. Should we just throw that out and start again? If so why?
Its a good question. So personally I'm not impatient. I'm happy with it. But I see why fans are discontented. And they are impatient macarons alot of the time. I think ENIC out is silly as it's not realistic in any way. This was my alternative idea but admittedly no idea what the strategy is sometimes.

Aside from whether Levy/ Joe Lewis trust (or whatever we call ENIC nowdays) should or shouldn't stay is it still in THEIR OWN interests too?

I get they are an investment company that is only investing in us so they can someday have a return.

If they aren't looking to sell the stadium rights anymore and can not keep up with a level of spending required to finish in the top 4 consistently... then haven't we reached the end of the road of what they can and cannot do to increase the clubs value?

Surely at this point we're just going to depcreciate in value (minus inflation)?

I'd say we likely depreciated in value after the Saudi Sportswashing Machine takeover due to increased compeititvness for CL. Anthing could happen that pushes us further down the ladder.

Surely you should back whichever/whoever you think is right instead of just defaulting to back the owners?

Player power will destroy clubs, look at SAF with several WC/High profile players, it cannot be tolerated.

Spurs has been sick post Poch partially due to Kane, everyone says Levy/ENIC massively misjudged to hire Jose/Conte, no question part of that was trying to appease/keep Harry.

I really don't understand how on one hand you can say the manager is in a rebuild, needs to be given time and should be judged on that accordingly while also shifting position on the club who are orchestrating the rebuild - if we are rebuilding then everyone needs the time to be judged accordingly.

Levy had a hard on for Mourinho for ages mate. I don't think you can lay the hiring of Mourinho at Harry Kane's door.

Conte was hired after the debacle of a manager search that we'd had since sacking Mourinho that eventually ended up with the hiring and firing of Nuno. Things were getting a bit spicy in the stadium in terms of ENIC/Levy out and the club put an offer to Conte that was more appealing than the one he'd turned down in the summer. Again, not convinced any of those appointments (or indeed Postecoglou after Conte) had anything to do with Harry Kane.

My take on that would be that the manager has been here just a short time and is only just starting on his rebuild. Whereas the owners have been in place for ages and have chopped and changed so much that there have now been 4 or 5 rebuilds started in 5 years with none ever getting anywhere near to completion.

I think there are a number of potential gripes that fans have that they are fair to air should they wish too. Its entirely up to them.

I gave up my ST because I felt there was now a distinct lack of value to the cost of going, even though I could afford to, I made that choice, that was on me so I don't feel the need to protest, but other might feel differently. I won't mock them for that

Lot of assumptions in there

- ENIC/Levy aren't in it for quick flip (after 23 years we know that), and it's childish to say they don't want success. They want success within a self sustaining model (case there for will/can that work)
- We are no where near top of value, nor prices, nor tv deals, take a look at American Sports to understand how far it can still go. And it will help you understand why American investors are the new owners most likely.
- Saudi Sportswashing Machine probably increased our value, previously the argument would have been much cheaper to buy a City/Saudi Sportswashing Machine for a few hundred million than a Spurs for a few billions, the issues is FFP/PSR has shown there is a value to have a club that already generates top revenue to allow you to spend (Assuming buyer has deep pockets). Add in, a lot of the other options to buy don't have London, don't have the multiple revenue streams, don't have the infrastructure work done (lots of teams need new/refreshed stadiums).

Spurs has a very small pool of buyers that can buy us, but for that pool, it's a very attractive proposition.

Two of your opinions as I understand them are that:
- Poch didn't get a rebuild (agreed)
- Mourinho was appointed as an alternative to rebuilding (agreed)

That brings us to Paratichi - Paratichi led in to the Lange era so at most we're looking at this being a second rebuild but in reality it's a continuation of what Paratichi started. So no not the 4th or 5th rebuild as you have tried to paint it as.

I'm not going to argue against a mans opinion re ticket pricing, but with a new stadium and the demand for tickets that we have whoever the owners are/were they would be in the same bracket. That's a general gripe at the way football has changed imv but you're entitled to point the finger where you see fit

different era, PLC at time, revenue was much more about buts in the seat.

It's extremely unlikely that local fans can in anyway influence change of ownership in a non PLC model. United has a very organized model (comparatively) that have been staging protest against Glazers for how long now? zero, literally zero effect.

And that isn't even getting to the type of people who turn up at these protests
