You initially had a long answer. You either didn't understand the points being made or didn't want to.
Strawman your way out of it as much as you want, it is a fact.
😘
No strawman. A long answer about his discipline record in previous years (the facts) does not show how he is carrying us this season (now there is a strawman). Yes, lets leave it there, and can agree to disagree.

I don’t think there’s much to disagree in this. The interesting debate for me - as long as it stays good natured - is whether he is a net positive for us or not.

Unless a certain Argentinian comes in in the summer and is able to manage him better, I think it’s time to cut our losses, as for me, he’s costing us more than we’re getting for him for the points I’ve made - he’s playing angry (and unfocused, for my money).

He’s trying to ensure he’s allowed to leave in the summer. Pretty obvious really.

Let's indeed do so mate, but just so as I am being clear on what I meant, he is one of our leading scorers and assisters; that's some weight being carried. Whether he can handle it without proper handling? That appears to be an issue for sure.

Ask yourself why it wasn't an issue from Jan 1st 2024 right up to August and beyond of this season.

My point i guess is that a player who needs controlling to such a degree frankly should shoulder the blame for his actions - he's a grown man, to pass the buck for his behaviour does not sit right with me.

I certainly agree he has to bear some responsibility, and some players require special management i.e. Paul Gascoigne. I suppose it depends on how much you think he's worth it. But I think the club overall has some big problems structurally.

To add, if Ange & his team got in his head and had him under control - then that is certainly is to their credit. I just don't think the blame lies at managers for failing to control ill disciplined players. This is a player who has had poor discipline across multiple managers now - was the stat that he's the player with the worst discipline in the league since he signed for us? Given the games he has missed that is some going
