Good. Lets hope the idiots who refuse the jab ( so far) have a change of mind.
As with the original lockdown there were people who could not go out to shops. Others helped either as family or good Samaritans - deliveries are available.Or buy food in a supermarket? Go to the doctors?
The great barrington declaration sounded good but would not work in practice.
We are not in the same position we were though. There may be vulnerable that cannot get a vaccine and we should do all we can to help them. But other than that we move on.
Did see boris threatening vaccine passports for nightclubs today. Guess he saw what macron did and the amount of people that refused the jab suddenly change their minds. Hopefully it will be a kick up the arse for some.

Plenty had to isolate and got by - this would be no different except with the personal choice and freedom for those that did not need to.
So clubs are fully open now when many people (and those most likely to visit) aren't fully vaccinated but from Sept you'll need to be double vaccinated to go to a club...
Logical.
Does seem a bit bizarre not to make masks mandatory in some key areas people can't avoid like shops, public transport etc. Not really a big deal to wear them in those areas if it helps and makes others feel safe.
The whole point of freedom day is we no longer need to worry about everyone out there, just balance and manage your own risks.
Have a great summer.
Hope I’m wrong, but I give it to late September - absolute tops.
Dominic Cummings is hanging Bojo out to dry now. Given the UK's population is ageing, dismissing the lives of the over 80s as not important, will really help seal his fate in the next election.
Watching Johnson squirm at the future public inquiry is going to be excellent.

I don't like to speak for @P.D., but I'd imagine restaurants, pubs and nightclubs didn't feature in the list of

And Boris causing the Boris variant which is causing issuesIf it was only over 80's dying we shouldn't have locked down (we know that wasn't the case though).
The massive fudgeups were:
Not realising this could be airbourne.
Not realising there could be asymptomatic cases.
Not testing people sent from hospitals to carehomes.
Not testing carehome staff.
Not testing people going into hospital.
Not utilising the nightingale hospitals to use for covid patients and leaving hospitals covid free.
Not banning flights from china as soon as we realised there was a problem.
Not testing people coming into the country.
Not banning mass events and closing nightclubs as soon as we realised there was transmission in the uk.
Not producing ppe in the uk but having to rely on other countries.
