Christmas Dinner

Im the same i love my wife and son and 2 of my three sisters but i can not be doing with cousins or the whole niece nephew things. They keep having children and i can never remember there names and if the wife is not standing next to me to tell me i end up looking a right plonker. Reckon christmas is best spent with just close family.

Christmas is best spent with whoever is paying, and who's driving.

Dreading christmas this year tbh. It was actually my favourite time of the year but since my dad passed it's not as special anymore. Me, my mum and my little brother went to my cousins last year because neither of them wanted to stay at home for the first christmas without my dad (i preferred to stay at home as i'm not a fan of mingling with countless family members tbh) but this year i definately want to spend it with my mum and bro only (don't even want to spend it with my girl).

As for food i'm not a big turkey fan....i love lamb though and thats what we usually have.

Know how you feel KD. My dad died on 21st December a few years back and Christmas obviously lost it's shine for the family, particularly my mum. Will be coming over from Australia to have Christmas with mum, brother, sister and my nephew. Hopefully having my daughter there will bring back a bit of the old Christmas spirit for my mum as she doesn't see her that often. Hoping to get to Stoke game as well if I can swing a ticket from my mate!!

Turkey and baked ham it is by the way, sherry trifle after. Nothing else is allowed.

Sherry WHAT? What about Christmas Pudding? My word... Nothing else is allowed?? Madness.

Cooking my first Christmas dinner this year. Looking to do something veg-wise that's more interesting than boiling. Any suggestions?
